Bree Again

Bree's POV

I sat with Ashley and we talk on end for several hours until...

"Okay...that's not the biggest news..." we both said at the same time. What bigger news could she have then just being pregnant? And what will her reaction be when she finds my news out?

"You go first." I said as she smiled at me, she places her hand on her stomach and smiled a little wider.

"Peeta and I are having twins!" I couldn't tell her my news now...Peeta would hate me more then ever! He would probably inform his mom, and then she'd beat the hell outta me! "What's your news?" She asked with a cherry voice.

"Oh....the Capitol sent me that cardinal." I. said in a happy voice, that was a lie. She hugged me and then informed she was gonna go tell Katniss, and Prim, which were all meeting at Peeta's old house with his parents, and Gale. I hung my head and told her I would catch up later.

When she left I quickly got dressed, since Ashley had woken me this morning at the crack of dawn, damn her! Then I walked out into the fresh starting blizzard and made my way toward the back of the victors village. I met Coy where we usually go, behind Haymitch's house and he automatically hugged me tightly.

"Did you tell her babe?" He asked in a scared voice.

"No...I, I couldn't....." I sighed as I hugged him back tightly.

"Why not?" He asked pulling back and looking at me with a somewhat upset expression.

"I...because...Ashley and your brother are having twins!" I said with a huge smile hopping to get his mind off things.

"What!?!?" He yelled, he smiled too and then Haymitch threw a empty bottle of white liquor and almost hit Coy in the head.

"That's great sweetheart, now keep your boyfriend quite!" He yelled. Me and Coy laughed while running toward The Hob to get something to eat.....

Now I'm laying in bed with Coy and he's so out of it...and his snoring is getting on my nerves!! I finally decided to go take a shower to relax..and then, I'm going to Ashley's to apologise to Peeta.

As I walk in the snow drifts that are almost twenty feet high around the victors village...I thought of what I might say.

'Peeta..I really am sorry...but your brother is just...I can't resist him!' No, he'd snuff me for sure then...and push me into the oven and bake me for several hours. No, Peeta's too nice for that.... I now find myself staring at Ash's door. I took a deep breath and knocked...Peeta came to the door with a stressed look, and I frowned.

"Are you alright Peeta?" I asked, he looked down and then I heard it.

"Peeta!!!" Ashley's voice was horse and scratchy, and then I heard her gag. Peeta looked like he might cry as he ran up the stairs. I wasn't far behind...the sean wasn't pretty. Peeta holding back Ashley's hair as whatever she had earlier wound up in a bucket beside their bed.

"Huh....Ashley...." her eyes shot to me and she gave a week smile.

"I'm fine...really.....Peeta could you get me some ice please?" She asked...her voice barely a whisper now...just loud enough to hear......how could I apologize in all this chaos??
