Ashlin Everdeen (Peeta Mellark love story)

Wedding

Its been almost a year now  and Peeta and I are having our wedding tomorrow.

Right now its the rehearsal dinner, and I'm so shaken about what Peeta's mother is gonna say. She never liked me all that much anyway, and I was a little concerned. As I sit holding Peeta's hand and thinking about what she might say....

"Don't stress, it'll be fine...I don't think she's gonna say something bad. This is the happiest I've ever been, and the most help I've been...according to her." Peeta whispered in my ear. I smiled and kissed his ear,

"You always know what to say," I whispered.

"Well, I and the rest of the Capitol are especially excited for tomorrow...and we wish you the best!" Effie announced, and then sat down.

Next was Prim, "I absolutely love seeing you happy Ashley, and I want the best for you and Peeta."

Katniss: "I'm so happy that your love for Peeta was strong enough to being you both home," everyone laughed. "And, I'm super glad that you'll be very happy with Peeta, its the happiest I've ever seen you since you started dating Pillsburry." She giggled and continued, "I wish my lovely sister and her fiance the very best and a happy life!" Everyone cheered when Katniss finished, I smiled.

Mom: "I honestly imagined Katniss getting married first but, I couldn't have been happier when Peeta asked for my blessing. I just want you to be happy, and if he makes you happy sweetie, I'm happy."

Gale: "I've known you two forever and I just gotta say; it was pretty obvious." Everyone laughed and Gale smiled at us.

Bree: " She's my best friend, and dough boy better treat her right!" I laughed lightly.

Coy: " Bro...you did great, cause she's hot! By the way...Bree, go on a date with me?" Everyone laughed and Bree almost broke her glass of wine in her hand glaring at him.

Garth: " Be happy, and may the odds be ever in your favor!"

Carlisle: "I've know this young lady a long time, the first time I saw her and Peeta drawing pictures outside the bakery I knew: this would be the girl he spends the rest of his life with. I've never seen my son happier and, I wish you both the best....I want grandchildren!" Everyone cheered, and mine and Peeta's faces turned red.

Peeta's mom, Grace : " Well...I thought I would never see the day when Peeta got married. But never the less, I do want grandchildren and I hope your very happy son." I smiled and looked down, finally we shared a toast for a happy life with each other, and Peeta spoke.

"I'm am absolutely thrilled to say that after tomorrow, I get to call this perfect woman all mine.I love her with all my heart and I couldn't ask for anything more...even if we don't have kids, mom and dad please understand," everyone laughed briefly. "I'd still be the happiest man in the world." Everyone cheered. Now my turn,

"I'm ecstatic to be getting married to Peeta tomorrow, I can't even describe how wonderful it feels. I'm happy all the time with him, and yes I want children...eventually. For now though, I'll settle for being Mrs. Peeta Mellark. I love you so much Peeta....I can't wait until tomorrow..and I agree with you, if we don't have kids...I'll still be the happiest person in Penem." Everyone cheered and I took my place back with Peeta....

I'm pretty happy, plus the fact that in the Capitol a new president was elected because Snow was apparently murdered. His last name is Crane and he was the head game maker, and just last night he promised that there would be no more annual  Hunger Games. I felt great, but the catch was, we all had to offer up tributes every three years instead, and that made all the difference in the world to Penem.
