Chapter 7

Luke's POV

We were in a meeting, talking about the album, and stupid shit, but something Paul said, got my attention.

"Alright, I've hired four girls for you to pretend to date, okay? I'll need you to take them out today." What? I had a date with Skye today. This can't be happening.

"Good. They'll be here soon, but so you guys can just hang out for now. Don't break anything and be nice to the girls when they get here." Paul said, leaving us by ourselves.

"Seriously? This is bullshit." I said. The other boys nodded. I opened up my phone, and texted Skye.

Luke: Hey love, could we cancel today? I have some work to do."

I took a deep breath and pressed send. A minute later, the bubble popped up, signaling that she was typing. I waited, watching it, until it dissapeard. I minute later it reappeared.

Skye "..Um yeah that's fine. See you sometime, I guess." Shit. That didn't sound good. But what had she been typing before. I really wish I could just go hang out with her right now. But the door opened and four girls walked in.

"Hi." I looked up at the girl in front of me. She was pretty, with long brown hair, blue eyes, and about my height.

"Hi. I'm Jessica." I'm your new girlfriend, I guess." She smiled at me.

"Hey. I'm Luke. Sorry you have to pretend." I said. Even though, I like someone else, I might as well give her a chance, as my 'girlfriend'

Skye's POV
I had no plans anymore, so I just hung out at my apartment. I sat on the couch in sweatpants, turning on the TV. The celebrity gossip show came on.
"And now for the new band 5 Seconds of Summer." I sat up, wondering what they could be talking about.

"Seems like two of their members Luke Hemmings, and Calum Hood, have new ladies." The lady said, as the TV flashed to two pictures of them with girls. What?
I looked at the picture of Luke and this girl.They were both holding hands and smiling at each other. I was pissed. I called Luke.

Luke's POV
My phone rang. I picked it up.
"Hello?"

"Hey." Skye said.
"Oh hey! So yeah I'm really sorry I had work." She was silent for a minute.
"Yeah I get it." I sighed, relieved.

"You do?" I asked.
"Yeah, I've dated tons of douchebags, but this is the first one someone
canceled our first date to go on one with someone else." She sounded pissed. Shit she must have seen the news.
"Okay listen it was-"
"Just don't okay? I've heard it all before."
"Please just listen to me-"
"Oh and by the way when you cancel a first date with a girl, don't expect another. Bye Luke." She sighed, and hung up the phone. oh God what have I done?
