Chapter 9

Skye's POV
I was watching Dear John on my couch, when I heard a knock at the door. I sighed, getting up, and answering the door. I looked up at Luke, who was leaning in the doorway, with a smirk on his face.

"Well you're not the Chinese delivery guy." He rolled his eyes, letting out the small laugh.

"Nice to see you too. By the way, I'm obviously better that him." It's really hard to stay mad at Luke because he's so freaking adorable.

"I don't think you're better..." I shrugged smirking. He smiled, and I sighed again.

"Well I guess I'll see you later." He grabbed my wrist.

"Are you still mad at me?" He turned me to face him.

"Yes." I said watching as he moved closer.

"Can I still kiss you?" He whispered, resting his forehead on mine.

"Luke my dad's upstairs-" He cut me off by kissing me softly, but then it was basically a make out. We were leaning up against the doorframe. Someone cleared their throat. I pulled away and saw my dad.

"Finally!" He said. I looked at him confused.

"We were waiting until this happened! Paul owes me 30 bucks!" I looked at Luke and he smiled sheepishly.

"Well I'm getting groceries. Have fun you two."

Luke's POV
"Alright, so he left her to be in the army?" Skye rolled her eyes.
"Yea. And he's reading her letter that says she got married." (A/N sorry spoiler alert.)

The end of the movie played and I noticed Skye was crying.
"No don't cry, you're too gorgeous." I said.
"No that's not true. And I can't help it."

Skye's POV
He kissed my cheek.
"Well can I take you out on a date finally?" He asked hopefully.
"Yes. I'll go out with you."
