Chapter 14

Zane's POV

 I sat there in front of Jeydon's door. I don't know what I did wrong. Jeydon was the one who wanted this. He's the one who said to never speak to him again. Wait. I told Jeydon I love him. Is that true? After all that we went though? I love Jeydon Henderson. But I can never be his. He is with Corbin. Why did he have to come in the picture? Everything was fine until he showed up. Now it's like we're all hating each other.

 I broke up with Seth that day when I saw Jeydon run away. Seth took it pretty well, better than I expected. We both decided to keep in touch with each other. The only bad thing about the break up was that I had to go back living with my parents. I don't want to go back but I know for sure that I'd have to go back some time.

 I heard sobs from the other side of the door. I'll just wait. I'll stay here as long as I can. I just want to hold him and tell him that everything is going to be alright. But is everything going to be alright? For all I know, he won't talk to me. I'd do anything for him. I love him.

 A car pulled up from the driveway. It was Corbin. He walked out of the car and stopped dead in his tracks once he saw me. "What are you doing here?" he asked.

 "Don't mind me." I tell him and Jeydon stopped sobbing and the door opened.

 "What did you do to my boyfriend?" Corbin asked, his tone of voice was lacking. He didn't care what I did to Jeydon. "Go somewhere else."

 "You can't tell me where to go. I'm staying here." I say and caught Jeydon staring at me from the corner of my left eye.

 Corbin rolled his eyes and walked inside. Jeydon closed the door and I heard yelling. Maybe I should go. But then, I'm a nosey person.

 "You should go." Jeydon told me.

 "No."

 "Please?" Oh no. Not the eyes. He knows I can't resist the puppy dog eyes. Or eye.

 "Okay." I say and did the most stupidest thing ever. I kissed his cheek and walked away.

 "You kissed his cheek? That's so cute. You do know that he has a boyfriend, right?" Audrey said wrapping her arms around Phoebe's waist.

 "Of course I did. I just felt like kissing his cheek. I swore I saw him blush. I even told him that I love him."

 They both gasped. "It's about time! How was his reaction?" Phoebe asked me.

 "I don't think he heard me. It was like he didn't want to hear me."

 "You should do it again. Be all romantic. Don't you have a boyfriend?"

 "We broke up last week." I told them and they squealed. Ew. Not attractive.

 I sat down on Audrey's bed and sighed. How could I ever get Jeydon back with Corbin in the way? I'm not the type of person to go out with a guy who's already in a relationship. But I'd do anything for Jeydon.

 Audrey's mom walked in and set down a plate full of chocolate chip cookies. "Thank you!" We all say and devoured the cookies. She left the room with a laugh and I wiped my mouth with my sleeve. 

 "If you love Jeydon, then go to his house and just kiss him!"

 "Audrey, Zane isn't the romantic type. You know that." Phoebe chuckled and I rolled my eyes. "He can't even define romance."

 "We should teach him stuff about romance. Let's all watch the Titanic!" Audrey said jumping up and down from her bed.

 And that's my cue to leave. If it's one thing, I will never watch Titanic. I'll just end up crying and I don't want to cry in front of girls. That's unmanly. I can't loose my cool. They'd never let that die down.

 "Okay, I'm going to go home."

 "Home as in, I'm going to Jeydon's house and stand outside his house like a lunatic. Have fun with that. Phoebe. Let's get the bail money out."

 "Very funny." I say and walked out of Audrey's room.

 I said goodbye to her mom and she handed me a batch of cookies. I love her. Maybe I can give some to Jeydon. What am I thinking?

 I parked my bike in the drive way and made my way to the door. I knocked on the door. Jeydon answered. "Go away Zane." he said shutting the door in my face. Rude. I knocked again. "Please, just go." 

 "No. I'm staying here."

 "Go away Zane. I don't want you here." he said in a begging tone.

 "Do you want me to go or did Corbin tell you that?"

 Jeydon hesitated. He wanted me to stay. I'll stay no matter what. I don't care if Corbin tries to kill me. i'm staying here for Jeydon.

 "Please just go.

 "I'm not going anywhere." I tell him and I could see his lips curve into a smile. I'm glad that I can make him smile. "I'm staying right here."

 "Corbin will kill you."

 "No he wont."

 "Just go. I'm not even suppose to speak to you." he said and then I heard a voice clear. Corbin took place of Jeydon and he foloded his arms.

 "Stay away from my boyfriend. He's mine. He will never be yours. Face it. I'm more better than you. I'll be the one who get's the boy. You're going to be the one who will live in regret. Eating up all your emotions."

 Corbin really makes me want to kill him.

 "Just go away. You're not welcomed here."

 Jeydon's father pulled up in the driveway. I'm pretty sure he hates me too. Mr. Henderson got out of his car and closed the door. He stared at us. "What is going on?"

 "Jeydon and I have asked Zane to leave but he's refusing." Corbin say smirking.

 "Zane. It's best for you to go home now. I don't want to cause any trouble with your parents."

 I sighed. "Okay sir." I say and walked towards my bike.

 I started the bike and drove off to the park. I whipped out my cellphone.

 me: Meet me at the park

  I sent the message and waited on the swing set.

 ***

 It's been an hour now and he still hasn't come yet. His dad should be leaving now. I heard sobbing. I looked uop to see Jeydon. I see he has gotten my text message. I thought Corbin had deleted it or something. I'm glad to see Jeydon.

 "Jeydon, why are you crying?" I asked as he got closer.

 "I don't want to go back home." he cried and fell into my arms.
