ELSA
“The cold never bothered me anyway.” I whispered from my balcony, then turned and slammed the door behind me.
I strode along the cold floor of my new ice castle. And I was completely alone. Again.
As I explored my castle, I remembered my parents, and wondered whether they would have approved.
Probably not, considering I’d ditched the kingdom during a time of need, I had lost my temper and shown people my powers, and many thought their once-lovely queen was now a monster.
I sighed, then pushed it all from the head.
The past was in the past, no need to dwell on it.
I slowly walked round. I was in the entrance hall. Everything was beautifully crafted. I could barely believe it all came from me.
As I began going up the stairs, a knock sounded from the door.
I froze.
And slowly turned toward the door.
I ran to it.
Who would be at my door? How could anyone find me? Why would they find me?
It came to me in a second.
Anna.
I flung open the door.
I gasped.
It wasn’t Anna.
It was a young woman about my age, in a black dress with a pointed black hat.
But that wasn’t the most surprising thing.
The woman was green.
