ELSA

I stared as Anna accepted his hand.
She seemed hurt.

No…it couldn’t have been me. I can’t have done it - I - I couldn’t have.

Suddenly I remembered last time, again.

Years ago.

“Mama! Papa!” I’d called. Ice had begun bursting all around me. They’d burst into the room, and then we were riding to the trolls.

I blinked, then focused on the present.

A blond man was helping Anna up.”
“You ok?” The man asked.
“I’m ok. I’m fine.” Anna said angrily.

“Who is this? Wait, wait, it doesn’t matter, just - You have to go.” I said.

“No, I know we can figure this out together!”

“How? What power do you have to stop this winter? To stop me?”

“Anna. We should go.” The man said.

“No. I’m not leaving without you, Elsa.” Anna said firmly.

“Yes. You are.” I declared.

My head pounded, and my cold anger grew. Icy smoke blew out in front of me, solidifying into a large shape.  I had summoned a large snow monster, with sharp ice claws. It grabbed the three of them, and left.

Finally, after what seemed like forever, I collapsed. Elphaba rushed toward me, but then everything went dark.

“Elsa! Elsa!” My vision was blurry.

“What?” I asked, confused.
“Anna’s gone. But more people are coming. Elsa! You have to wake up!”
“I’m awake.” I sat straight up. “What did you say, Elphaba?”
“I said, Anna left, but guards are coming! We have to do something.”
“It’s fine, the snow monster can take care of them.” I said.

“They’ve nearly defeated the snow monster. Elsa, they’re coming!”
