ELPHABA

“They’re coming? Now?” Elsa shot up to her feet, and immediately swayed and nearly fell again, although I quickly caught her.
“Thanks.” She muttered.

“No problem.” I said. I wanted to tell her about my vision, and how I’d seen her hit Anna in the heart, but there was no time for that now. We had to prepare against the guards.

“You need to hide again.” Elsa said.
“Excuse me? I don’t think so. You need help, so I’m going to help you.” I said hotly.

“No, it’s just - They think I’m bad, and all I can do is summon ice and stuff. You - you’re green, and you have some sort of other magic and you’re not from here - I can handle them myself.”

“Elsa, really. I have to help you! I’ll be fine, sure, Fiyero will be worried and all till I come back, but- Elsa, you’re in danger. Right now. I’m helping.”
“NO!” Elsa screamed. Ice spikes sprang up from around her. I yelped and jumped back.
Elsa looked mortified.

“Elphaba, I’m so sorry, I just…I don’t want to accidentally hurt you while I’m fighting, in case it gets dangerous.”

“I can protect myself.” I said stubbornly, but I was less sure.

“Elphaba, please.”
“Fine. But if it gets bad, I’m helping.”

“An- Elphaba! I - oh - Fine.” Elsa resigned. I noticed she’d nearly called me Anna.

The thought disturbed me a bit…

Elsa shoved me in the room again. I watched her pace the castle. The light from outside made the castle walls look almost red, and the ice cracked and spikes shot up everywhere.

I was very happy we were friends and not enemies…I certainly would not want Elsa as an enemy.

I stayed in the room, waiting, scared, as Elsa tried to control her magic.
