Hiccup

Flying high beyond the clouds. The air whipping across my face, the sun brightening all edges of the horizon, and the view... oh the view.

When you're this up high, it's impossible for one to not take in all the beauty of Berk and her shore's. The lively meadows and its golden mountains, to its calming beaches. Its magic I tell you.

This all would never have been revealed to me if I never befriended my dragon, Toothless. He truely is my best friend, he is no pet. Friend would be more a suitable word than pet. He's always there for me and I'm always there for him. He changed my perspective of life, he has.

I was doing my daily flight training with Toothless. Everything was running smoothly in the flight, our gliding and spinning went perfectly, even the loop-the-loop we started working on was up to scratch.

Although, on the last turn, Toothless suddenly slowed down and landed on a nearby rock. I didn't know what was going on. "What's wrong bud? The finish line is right there." I wasn't expecting him to do this; he never stops the flight until we're finished.

He rose his head and pointed his ears, looking around cautiously. I knew this certain look, it means he sensed an odd presence. How he senses it is beyond me, just another wonderful mystery of a dragon. After scanning thoroughly his surroundings, Toothless took of into flight.

He took me into a dark cave near the beach, one of which that I had never noticed before. He entered it without hesitation. "Where are you taking me bud?" Somehow, he knew the way, I presumed he followed the sense that he picked up. Toothless stopped walking, breathed in, then lit the area around him with fire. The cave lit up instantly, and before us was nothing but a dead end...or so i thought.

I got of Toothless' back and looked around. I saw a big rock in the wall of the dead end. The rock was smooth, and not a single bit of moss attached to it, unlike the rest of the cave which seemed to have it moss all over. It was no ordinary rock for sure, because I could feel its aura, now realising what Toothless had sensed.

The rock suddenly started to shake violently. It shook so hard it fell off the wall and onto the ground. Toothless started growling at it. The rock started to make the whole cave shake, until suddenly, it just stopped.

It sprang up into the air and, before our eyes, transformed into a living statue of stone and rock, a golem.

"Hiccup," it said in a very deep voice. It's presence was overwhelming and intimidating. "I am one of the few elder trolls in the world, the wisest beings of all. The journey that you soon face will be long lived in history. Travel south to Eclypse island. There you will meet Merrida, Rapunzel and Jack Frost who will aid you in this quest. Go quickly for the fate of this world lies at stake...at this very moment."

I stood there with my mouth open. That was a load to take in. Not only was I going to 'save the world', but to meet up with three of my closest childhood friends was something that took my breath away.
