Jack Frost
It was uncomprehendable. The storm, the woman, the horror puppets, it all shook the soul violently. But there was something I couldn't bear, my friends were there, trembling in fear. I could see the terror in their eyes, burning and wide open. They stood there paralyzed by the sight, as if waiting for someone to just end it. Under the witch's command, the puppets flung themselves towards them.
I summoned my courage back and formed a snowflake from the air.
People think that my powers just allow me to make fancy works of ice. No, definately no. You see, it's my centre, my true power, to give joy and happiness that know no limits or obstacles.
And as the snowflake landed on Merrida's nose, she was afraid no longer. Suddenly her bravery had returned quickly to her. She had relinquished her fear and replaced it with courage, as she flung her sword out and stood solidly on the ground, her knees no longer shaking.
It worked. Merrida was slicing through the puppets as if they were butter. I launched two more flakes, landing on the heads of Hiccup and Rapunzel. They, too, had joined Merrida in what turned out to be a battle.
I was shocked by Rapunzel's choice of weapon, a frying pan. She used it, although, quite effectively.
Merrida had mastered the bow and arrow perfectly over the years. She held the same bow that she held when we were kids. I remembered the perfection in the carving of the wood, the silk smooth surface.
I was most interested in Hiccup's choice of weapon, a dragon. Together their movements inspired awe in my eyes. He rode on the great beast's back, gracefully diving into the air. From the dragon came magnificent bolts of fire, lighting up the dark forest with dazzling fireworks.
They were strong, skilled. Over the years we were separated my friends had developed as warriors.
It came down to the last puppet. It was not like the others. It was tall and bulky, looking down on us all with its blood red eyes. With it's enormous strength it lifted a massive log with just one hand and patted the log onto its open palm. It was ready for battle.
