It took us a whole day of trying to find a stinking portal to discover that the Saxon's have been mining our resources from a nearby cave. A cave that probably contained a portal, this is just our luck.
Stinger places her hand onto my chest as she hums a song, trying to calm my anger with these people.
"What are you humming?" I ask.
"A song." She laughs. "It's called Soren."
"What's it about?" I ask.
"Friendship mostly, or love, depending on how you take the meaning."
"Can you sing it?"
Stinger smiles and parted her lips to sing the beautiful song, the melody was smooth, soft and sweet.

Stinger's voice was like a soft dove, flying through the wind. Our love was sting, destined to say throughout everything. She placed her lips onto mine, for a split second.
I can not throw away this moment. The sun setting behind us, stars starting to light the sky. The beautiful mood created by Stinger's voice.
I hold her hand and get down on one knee.
"Stinger." I look her in the eye. "I spoke to your father, he approved of me. I am not one for log speeches, but... will you marry me?"
Stinger smiles as tears of joy drop down her face. "Yes!" She shouts and closes her arms around me, engulfing me in her hug.
For the first time in my life, everything was going as planned.
