Daniel

I got in the passenger seat of Joey's car and he drove out of the arcade parking lot, roaming on the long lonely street.
The time on his radio read 9:21 pm and the neighbourhood was dark.

J: I'm starving. You wanna get something to eat?

D: Yeah I'm in the mood for pizza

J: Then Pizza Hut, here we come!

I smiled and my stomach rumbled. I just realized I hadn't eaten much all day and the thought of pizza made my mouth water. We were at the restaurant within 7 minutes and Joey ordered a cheese pizza for himself and a vegetarian for me. We sat at a booth in the corner. The place was empty and the lights were dimmed, just how I like it. On the table were salt and pepper shakers and an employee poured us a glass of water before walking into the kitchen.

J: Sooo

Joey said, resting his chin against his fists and smiling.

D: Sooo. . .

I had nothing to say and shrugged.
We laughed and I took Joey's right hand in mine and stroked it. As my fingers smoothed over skin, I felt little bumps on his knuckles and I looked close to see small yet long, faded, red scars.

D: What happened here?

Taking his hand out of my hold, Joey brought it up to his own face and inspected the marks. He chewed his lip and concentrated before looking across at me.

J: You really wanna know?

D: Umm. . .well yeah

Joey sighed and leaned back in his seat.

J: Well, uh. . .when I was 15 my mom had just gotten out of rehab for the third time. Aaaand she stayed sober for a while but secretly went back to drinking a week later. My parents were on a break by this point so dad wasn't around. When I found out and confronted her about it, she went on the defensive

D: What did she do?

I asked softly. Joey was looking off into the distance. His eyes were squinted and cloudy.

J: She began hitting me and saying I didn't understand her. Then she screamed she hated me and wished I was never born. Sh-she really pissed me off

I didn't say anything. Joey continued staring off in the distance.

J: I just became so frustrated and angry that I punched the bathroom door. I was just so sick of seeing her drink all the time, even when I was a little kid. It changed her. The first punch was enough to break it and cause a hole but I kept going and going until splinters and large chunks of hard wood stuck out and dug in my fists. My hand was bloody and I stormed across the hallway to my room

D: Did your mom say or do anything?

Joey shook his head.

J: No, she didn't care. She just downed a bottle of whatever shit she was drinking and left

D: Oh wow. I-I'm sorry Joey. No one should have to deal with an alcoholic, especially as a kid. You must've felt so confused, scared even

Joey rolled his eyes and looked at me.

J: Whatever. It sucks but it happened. You know, it's made me who I am today

I smiled a bit but my heart had grown heavy. He seemed to brush off what he went through.

J: I'm a smart and capable person who is making a pretty good living. I don't need my mom or family. I'm good enough on my own

D: Yes you are. You're smart Joey. And special too

Joey chewed lip and I leaned across the table to kiss his forehead.

D: I'll always be here for you

J: Let's not get into that sentimental crap okay?

Joey laughed. The waiter brought two pizzas and laid it out in front of us.

D: Thank god. Let's eat!

I took a slice of my vegetarian pizza and took a big bite, my teeth sinking in the gooey cheesy goodness. I could've moaned at how good it was. Halfway through eating, Joey washed down his second to last piece of pizza with water and he looked at me with curiosity.

J: You never did tell me about your family. What were they like?

D: My family has always been small. I used to live with my parents but my dad developed alcoholism and became abusive to my mom when I was 16.

J: How long did the fighting last between them?

D: Luckily not long as it could've been. After a year of putting up with him, my mom filed for divorce. They split 2 weeks after my 17th birthday

J: Do you still see your dad?

I shook my head.

D: I barely see my mom as much as I should. But no, I haven't seen my dad in 5 years

Joey nodded, taking a bite of his pizza.

J: Well, that's another thing we have in common

D: Yeah, crappy parents

Joey laughed.

Joey

The car ride back to the motel was quiet. Derek seemed to be off in another world. I asked him if he was okay and he just nodded with a tiny smile.

We were in the hallway when Derek opened his door, took my hand and led me to his bedroom.

D: You deserve to relax

I sat on the bed and he sat on top of me, kissing me roughly on the lips and wringing his tongue around mine. I ran my hands up and down his fit toned body and squeezed his ass, eliciting a giggle from Derek. I loved feeling his body against mine and I peeled his shirt off, tossing it on the floor. I dropped kisses on his neck and licked his now-hard nipples as Derek uttered  a low moan and dug his hands in my hair. He pulled my head up from his chest and took my own shirt off before licking my neck and and sucking hard. It felt so good I moaned and he grinded on my lap as he continued sucking and kissing my tender neck.

After mere minutes, I was lost in heaven at Derek's amazing touch, groaning with every suck and I felt my cock get real hard. Derek must've felt it too, because he stopped grinding on me and he stood up, taking my pants and underwear off. He looked down at my package and stroked it.

D: You're so hard

J: Cause you're so fucking hot

D: What should we do about it?

Derek's green eyes twinkled as a smirk spread across his lips. He stopped stroking my cock and crashed his mouth against mine before I pushed him off.

J: Take your pants off babe. You better hope you can take every inch of me
