An interview with circularities

How are you doing lately? Since its holiday season, how are you enjoying your days of freedom?

My exams got over around a week ago and I feel so alive after the whole semester of hard work and anxiety. I hope to just write as much as possible this holiday season. Apart from that I do nothing but sleep and watch tv shows all day long.

The Rapid Fire

When is your Birthday?

It's on the fourth of February. Yep, I am a spring baby.

The best thing in your life till this date?

Ooh, this one's tough. It's difficult to pick up one incident but I think my Mum giving me my first novel to read is one of the things right up there. I was around 7-8 years of age and it was The Island of Adventure by Enid Blyton. I can't imagine what life would have been like without this incident.

What's the only thing you regret the most in your life till this date?

Seriously, I don't believe in having regrets in the long run.

would you rather round

Would you rather have your book published but not have as many readers as you expected or write on wattpad and have millions of readers?

Write on Wattpad and have millions of readers, of course. The main reason I write is to reach out to people with what little bit of magic I have to offer. What better way than to write on a platform where people love what you do?

Would you rather always have to say everything on your mind or never be able to speak again?

Hmm, that made me think. I would go with always have to say everything on your mind. I do that naturally all the time, oops!

Would you rather know when you are going to die or know how you are going to die?

Neither, I can't handle the anxiety but if I had to choose one, like really choose...gosh, this question is really tricky. I give up. I suppose 'how' would be a better choice? I don't know, man.

The Explanation Segment

If you were given a chance to publish one of your books which one would it be and why?

I would go with Soul Harbour or The Fairytale Life of Doris McQueen. Soul Harbour because it's probably the best thing I've ever written on Wattpad up to date. The Fairytale Life of Doris McQueen because it's completed and has the most comprehensively well-rounded plot out of all my works on here.

What is the most different quality of you that most of the authors on wattpad don't have?

I don't know. I really love my readers but I think every writer does that because readers are magic and love. I treat my readers as my friends and we just gel well together. As for writing, I think I use a variety of literary techniques because of my college course being English Lit. I try to incorporate diverse characters and different plots. I don't think people notice it but most of my writing is very layered and post-modernist so I think that's something kind of cool about my work?

If you have to describe life in three words what would it be and why?

Spontaneous, confused and exhilarating. Spontaneous because I don't like to plan much, confused because that's what I usually am and exhilarating because that's a beautiful way to live.

Do you wanna throw a shoutout to anyone special? Any friends? Haters? Favourite reader or author?

I follow most of the people I love so that's a good place to look at but of course, my sister Zai ( welfarism ) and my bestie Susan ( susan_sewell ) are the reason why writing anything is so much easier so shoutout to these two gems. And Yilei ( evethespy ) is my wattpad bae without whom the list would be incomplete.

That said, have you seen my amazing readers? They're my favourite people in the world.

What do you have to say about all the hating going around on Wattpad? We can see a lot of amazing authors leaving Wattpad because of this. What's your opinion? How do you handle the haters?

Yeah, I think it's weird that people can just make hatred a defining part of their life but I'm of the strong belief that #LoveWins always.
I think we can only report haters and discourage them.
Thankfully, I haven't had any brutal experiences. Maybe I'm relatively undiscovered for it? I've had a few random ones and I just report them (or give them a long lit-theoretical response to scare them away).

Last but not the least are you on Santa's naughty list or nice list this year?

Ah well, even my naughty is nice so.
