Firstly, How are you, Artis? How has life been treating you? Since it's holiday season, how are you enjoying your time?

— I'm doing really good, thank you for asking! Holidays are fun as always - there's lot of food, gifts and fun so I'm having a splendid time, really. Our exams start on the third of January, so that's the only bummer now.

—Seventeenth of August!

The Best thing in your life—

R&B music and pizza. Everything goes well with pizza in my opinion.

What's the only thing you regret the most in your life till this date?

Being awkward around cute guys.

would you rather

Would you rather have your book published but now have as much readers as your expected or write on wattpad and have millions of readers?

I'd rather write on wattpad and have millions of readers! I feel it's easier to connect and correct on the web as opposed to having a published book. I'd obviously love to get published someday, but if given a choice, I'll pick Wattpad.

Would you rather always have to say everything on your mind or never be able to speak again?

I prefer speaking everything on my mind. Thoughts are a burden, and speaking always helps, even if the consequences aren't pretty.

Would you rather know when you are going to die or know how you are going to die?

I'd rather know when I'm going to die so I can get my life together, set my priorities straight, spend time with the people I love and do the things that I've always wanted to do - all before doomsday.

The Explanation Segment

If you were given a chance to publish one of your book which one would it be and why?

The Heart-Fix Manual. It's not something out of this world, and it may not be long enough to pass publishing criteria, but the book means a lot to me. It made myself believe that I could be a writer, it made me realise what I wanted to pursue in the future, and above all, it taught me that I write best at three am in the morning!

THFM was the fist piece of writing that I confidently showed my friends and was extremely proud of for having whipped up in a couple of hours. It's something that I'd definitely love to see published someday, should I ever make a novel out of it.

What is the most different quality of yours that most of the authors on wattpad don't have?

I'm not sure if I have a quality that other authors don't have per say, but I do believe in connecting with readers. If I get hate (which I don't very often, and I'm thankful to my readers for that), I should try to understand the root cause of it before it gets to me. I feel the strength and freedom that a reader and writer share have a direct influence on both the writer's skills, as well as the reader's reading experience.

If you have to describe life in three words what would it be and why?

Exhilarating, enigmatic, and of course, melancholic at times.

Do you wanna throw a shoutout to anyone special? Any friends? Haters? Favourite reader or author?

Huge shoutout to everyone in the muchachasquad because they were my very first friends and pillars of support, to everyone who has clicked "read" on my books, to everyone who leaves lovely notes on my message board. Thank you for sticking with this loco potato!

What do you have to say about all the hating going around on wattpad? We can see a lot of amazing authors leaving Wattpad because of this. What's your opinion? How do you handle the haters?

I personally never have had a situation where a hate account was made against me. I do, however see a lot of my friends being emotionally abused on the internet because of the hate they receive and it saddens me. In a social, language loving website like Wattpad, we would expect less hate and more love, but time and again we see that's not the case.

Of course, everyone has a freedom of expression, but if your freedom ends where the other person's emotions begin. If you ever see a hate account being made, please, please report it - whether you know the person being hated on or not.
