“Nutella is the love of my life”
UNTYING HER PONYTAIL, ALLIE let her dark, long hair fell swung over her shoulder and settled just above her butt. Letting out a sigh, she then walked towards her office and swung the door close behind her. It had been a very busy day and tiring as well. There was a lot of customers today at her restaurant seeing that it was the holiday and families preferred spending the day eating out rather than eating at home. She glanced at the clock hung on the wall and heaved out another sigh.
It seemed to her that she wouldn’t be spending her wedding anniversary with her husband at home, again. Declan and her had been married for six sweet and blissful years and every day, Allie couldn’t seem to find any reason to not fall in love with him more. Declan was sweet, understanding and very caring – so imperfectly perfect in his unique ways.
A smile formed on her face when she remembered the day when Declan finally had the courage to ask for her hand. It was a few years after their college graduation and their love for each other was stronger than ever. It was on New Years’ Eve and Declan and Allie were in the living room in their apartment. She smiled as she cuddled up to Declan’s chest as they watched the television. “Babe?” She called.
“Yeah?” Declan then went to kiss her atop her head.
Allie smiled and pulled away before looking up at her boyfriend, adoration and love evident in his beautiful eyes. “Nothing,” She said. “I just wanted to thank you for all these years. You’ve made me the happiest girl in the world. I love you so much,” She watched as Declan smiled softly and kissed him on his lips, wishing more than anything that he understood how true her words were.
“I love you too, Allie. You don’t even know how much I do,” He murmured, pressing his forehead on hers.
Good, Allie! Create the mood and probably he’ll have the courage to just do it!
Declan let out a quivering breath. “A-Allie?”
Allie, too, felt incredibly anxious for she realized now what Declan was going to say. “Yes, baby?” She put on a blank facial expression to hide her apprehensiveness and caressed her thumb on Declan’s cheek, his stubble sharp against her skin.
Biting his lower lip, Declan then parted his lips to say something but Allie saw the hesitance in his eyes as he shook his head, mumbling profanities under his breath. He cleared his throat and pulled his arm away from Allie’s shoulders and ran his fingers through his hair, shaking his head. “N-nothing, babe. I-I’ll tell you tomorrow,”
"Just put the damn ring on my finger, Declan Curtis!" Allie laughed, both frustrated and amused.
Declan’s mouth went open and close, resembling some kind of fish before he stood up, taking Allie’s hands. “Allie, w-what? How do you-"
She couldn't resist giggling and caressed his cheek, suddenly feeling this overwhelming feeling of love in her chest she couldn’t wait to marry him. “You’re not exactly good at keeping things from me, sexy. Now, come on, I want to see the ring,”
Grinning, Declan shook his head both in amusement and embarrassment and went to both his knees, the box of ring in his hand. “God, this isn’t how I planned it to be but well,” He let out a breath. “Alexandra Hastings, you’re the most wonderful woman on earth and I cannot imagine not seeing you first thing in the morning or the last before I go to sleep. I can’t live without you, baby and I mean it. I love you and I’m begging you, please, will you be my –”
“– yes!” Allie screamed and went to hug Declan, the both of them fell onto the floor and the ring long forgotten. “Yes, yes! I will!” She laughed and let her fiancé rolled them over, she laid underneath him as Declan took her mouth in a toe-curling, earth-shattering and heart-pounding kiss.
Her trip down the memory lane was cut short when she heard a gentle knock on her office door. She watched as the door opened and her husband’s head poked in, causing her heart to race and smile broke across her face. “Declan!” She exclaimed and watched in surprised as he slowly walked in, carrying their five year old Julie in his arms and four month old James in his baby crib.
“Mama!” Julie exclaimed in delight and ran towards her mother, Allie laughed as she picked her up and showered her face with kisses. “Oh, sweetie. W-what are you doing here?” She then turned towards her husband, looking so handsome as ever as he went to kiss Allie on the lips.
“Daddy said he misses you and I miss you too, mama,” Julie explained and they laughed as she squirmed out of Allie’s arms and ran towards her computer to play some game.
Declan grinned and pulled his wife close towards him and kissed her once again on her lips. “Happy 6th anniversary, Allie,” He whispered and Allie smiled, placing her hand on his muscled chest. God, how she wished it was just the two of them. Allie bit her lower lip seeing the arousal in her husband’s eyes as if he was saying ‘I’m going to fuck you senseless until you won’t remember your own name’.
Allie kissed him again, on the jaw this time and Declan groaned against her neck. “Later,” She then pushed him away and took James crib and cooed, seeing James big, hazel eyes blinking up at her. “Hello, my sweetheart,”
She smiled up to Declan and said, “Are you bringing us somewhere?”
Declan nodded and took Julie from the chair that was too big for her to sit, ignoring her protest and said, “Yep. We’re going to watch a movie and have dinner at a luxurious restaurant to celebrate,” He kissed Allie atop her head. “I won’t let anything stop us from celebrating six years of being husband and wife,”
Tears pooled in Allie’s eyes as she gazed up at her husband. "I don't deserve you, you know that?"
He smiled, gentle and loving. “Nonsense. You deserve all of me and so much more,” Declan then let Julie down on the floor and ran out of the office before gazing into his wife’s eyes. “I love you, Allie,”
She chuckled and wrapped an arm around Declan’s torso, kissing him on the cheek. “I love you too,”
