My eyes opened to blurred vision to a pitchy dark room, I took big stretch and made my way to the window the sky was gloomy and there were grayish white clouds. I could smell the precipitation in the air from my cracked window, rain. My phone's alarm started going off , I grabbed it from under my pillow. It was 6:30 in morning and it was time to start my day. I received text from a guy I have been dating off and on for the past 8 months.
Sebastian: Good Morning beautiful, how did you sleep.
Me: Morning bae, I sleep like a baby lol
Sebastian: Wyd
Me: Bout to hop in the shower.
Sebastian: You gonna let me watch? 👀👀👀
Me: Umm...no
Sebastian: Come on don't be a tease😔😔😔 let me see baby please baby
Me: Boy bye, I'll text you when I get out.

Throwing my phone on the bed, I decided to pick a different outfit since it was clearly going to rain.
It is finally my senior year of high school and it have been a long almost four years. I was not playing around, I can not afford to let my academics record slip because I am ready to be done with it. I have dreams that I want to accomplish and living on campus at a university was definitely in my plans. I already applied to several of my favorite several schools; Howard, Spellman and Cheyney to name a few. My mindset from my freshman year of school was to buckled down, stay focus, and chase my dreams.
The steamy hot water hit my body in the right way helping my tight muscles loosen. The recently purchased shower head I am truly in love with and not the things you would thing. Now that I think about it was extra quite, normally I would hear my mother get ready for work. My mom is a head nurse and works crazy hour at the hospital near by.
Once I finished washing myself, I had a lot of time to kill so, while air dry, slowly lotioned every inch of body, and check over my homework. I packed everything in my bag and made sure I had my spare my charger. Before heading out the door, I stopped by the kitchen to grabbed my keys off the top of the refrigerator. My phone began to rang pick up without look at caller ID.
"Hello" I said.
"Bitch! What you doing?" I heard my best friend Mo's voice.
"Bout to leave I'll call you when I get on the bus." I informed her.
"Iight" she replied.
Mo and I met each other in first grade and have been inseparable ever since. I turned around and was a little startle to see my mother's unsteady boyfriend Juan sitting at the round table carving an apple and some what blocking the doorway.
