Now you may think you know what this rant is about. 'Too much information' WRONG! Incorrect! No, this rant is about 'The Mortal Instruments'

*trumpets sound*

Now let me tell you. This series is the freaking best. Better then any series I've ever read. And that's saying a lot, because I swear I read like the entire library in sixth grade.

I won't go on and on about how great it is, but I've read the series five times and I'm re reading it again so go read it before I set my mergoats on you.

Now that we have that out of the way, let's move on the the movie/show.

*snake hiss*
*cat screech*
*loud protests of no*

The movie, it's not awful. The ending is wrong because besides that it's not awful. Not great though.

The TV show though...*deep breath* THE TV SHOW IS AN ABSOLUTE DISGRACE TO THE ENTIRE FANDOM!!!! It's added unimportant characters, taken out important ones, added elements that aren't in the book, added scenes that aren't in the book, taken away scenes that are important to the plot and have done everything wrong!

They just started a second season and now they're not even going by the books anymore. Yep! That's right! You heard me! The show that is based off a book series isn't even going by the book plot anymore. They weren't even in the first place! *steam comes out of nose*

I've never seen a show with such bad ratings before. I should probably move on before I break something, *stares at shattered vase* again.

So I had this dream last night about all these Shadowhunter books I didn't have/read. Because there's TMI which is six books. Then there's the prequel series TID which is three books. Then there's TDA which is the sequel series to TMI and TDA is only one book RN but the second one is coming out soon. And then there's the Codex book, The Bane Chronicles, Tales From Shadowhunter Academy and I thought that was it. But when I woke up and looked up all the books I came to find I was missing one!!!!!!!!

YEP! I, Peyton Taylor, one of the biggest fans of this series that you can find, has not read one of the Shadowhunter sister novels.

*places hand on head dramatically*
*sobs*
*faints*

I'm so ashamed! Now I just go buy it and read it all within in a day.

So to wrap this up, you must go read the series. I'm not gonna tell you what it's about, because you're gonna go buy it and read it and love it. It's amazing! There's no better series. It's fabulous! It's a must!

Go! What are you waiting for? Run to your nearest book store and pick up the first book called City of Bones! Go!! Go!!
