red and purple,
the heartstrings snap and out pour your heart's contents.
you mistook it for shattered pieces first,
but now you can clearly see
the thin webs of red and purple
holding everything together.sure as lead, slips through your fingers like quicksilver;
contradiction, the only truth in life.
take your pills, take your time,
it's okay if you don't know.can't decimate them yet,
let your old diseases lie.
you have to be familiar with your demons first,
to know best how to kill them.as sure as the sunrise, time always numbs.
sometimes a trip back will bring the darkness again,
and this is why we remember but we never stay,
and this is how we survive.
