Chapter 02: Enrollment of the Rebellious One

"Mikan-sama!" A girl called out the name of her master with a smile. The door bursted open and she found the brunette sleeping on her bed.

"It's morning alreadyyyy! Breakfast is readyyyy!" The girl shook her master.

However, the fifteen-years-old female didn't wake up and just burrowed down beneath the white and fluffy blankets.

The girl breathes deeply and says in loud voice,

"Mi-kan-sa-ma!"

After shouting the last syllable, she took off the white bed blankets from her master. The brunette groaned and lazily opened her clouded eyes. She blinked as her eyes were adjusting to her surroundings.

Slowly, Mikan sat up and placed her hand on her closed eyes.

'Again... I wonder how many times I've dreamed about that day.'

"Good morning, Mikan-sama!" A voice snapped her out of her thoughts.

A tall girl of her same age stood in front of her and looked at the brunette with her lilac eyes. She was wearing a pink apron above a sailor uniform and her grey hair was in a high ponytail with a flower-bell accessory.

She's Mikami Rei, a retainer from the Mikami family, which is in charge to guard and take care of the people of the Tachibana Clan.

"...Morning, Rei." Mikan stretched her arms. She then stood up from bed and rubbed her eyes softly with her right hand.

Now being a teenage, her once petite height had gone up throughout years. However, she still has the same short hairstyle and fair skin.

The warmth in her blue eyes back in her childhood isn't there and they were almost emotionless instead. Ever since she was separated from Guren and Mahiru, she would rarely show her emotions to anyone.

Rei seemed to notice why her master had her head in the clouds for a moment, but decided to not ask about it and just clapped her hands together.

"Well, you must be hungry! Breakfast is ready, so prepare yourself and let's eat together, Mikan-sama!" The grey-haired female exclaimed. Mikan simply nodded in reply.

"Ah." Rei said aloud as she remembered something. "Remember to also put on your uniform, Mikan-sama."

"Yeah, I know." The brunette replied, turning her gaze towards the clothes that were folded neatly on her desk.

From today on, they'll be high school students of the First Shibuya High. They would also be moving to an apartment near the school.

"Hurry and go wash up, Mikan-sama!" Saying that, Rei lead her outside the room.

After that, Mikan returned to her room alone as Rei went downstairs to set the table. She took the clothes and spread them out on the bed.

It's a sailor uniform, which consisted of a blouse with red trim around the collar and a grayish blue sailor-style collar that also has a red trim; and a similarly colored skirt with a belt. A thin and red uniform ribbon is attached to the bottom right end of the collar and the school emblem is on the right breast. At last, there are opaque tights.

Once she undressed her pajamas and put on her uniform, Mikan walked towards a full-length mirror and looked at her appearance.

"So short. I dislike wearing this kind of skirts..." It wasn't to her liking since it was barely covering her thighs. She tied her red ribbon on the left side of her short hair and headed to the dining room.
