               *knock knock knock*

I woke up to the sound of some one knocking on the front door. There wasn't supposed to be anyone else around since the party was already over. Besides, it was the middle of the night. I got out of my room to check who it was, thinking of calling my dad to tell him, but I decided not to. I  walked up to the door, and spoke up.

--Raynose residence, who is it?-- I said, in a tired voice, but no one answered. I opened the door. --What is...--

There was no one on the door. I simply concluded with random pranksters knocking on the door, trying to mess with my dad, and closed the door to go back to sleep. As I went up to go back to my room, I noticed some dirty footsteps on the floor, leading to my dad's bedroom. I quickly went to the room, and I saw a shadow, with a syringe, about to stab my dad in the chest.

--DAD, WAKE UP!!!-- I screamed, and he woke up just in time.

He stopped the syringe from penetrating his chest, and pushed the shadow away. The shadowy figure fell to the ground, and made an audible, and surprisingly feminine grunt. my dad held it down, and I turned on the lights.

                                                                                                             *dad P.O.V.*

I took the bed sheets, and tied the person up. I went to take off his mask, and once I took it off, it was a girl, no older than me, but still pretty mature. I put the mask on the bedframe, and started questioning her.

--I only have three questions; Who are you? What are you doing in my house? And WHY DO YOU WANT TO KILL ME?!?!-- I asked, raising my voice.

--To be one of the most brilliant minds of the world, you sure are really stupid.-- She said, annoying me.

--And why is that? Is it really that obvious as to why you almost kill my father?-- Humphrey said

--Oh, shush, kid. You thought of doing the same thing no more than a month ago.-- She said, surprising me.

--Don't push your luck. I'm sure the police won't be as merciful as me, but, he again, anything can happen.-- I said, trying to scare her

-- Oh sure, go on. You know, I don't think you really have the guts to dirty your martial arts title, records, etcetera. I mean, two against one? Fighting with someone unarmed? You have a pretty big advantage, you know.-- She said, which I took to consent, and stayed put.

-- You still haven't answered my questions.-- I said, she sighed

-- Fine. Call me Hydro -- She said, and stayed quiet.

-- And? -- I said, getting impatient.

-- What do you mean 'and'? -- She asked, glaring at me.

-- You tried to kill me, why? -- I said, more calmly.

-- Why don't you tell me, thief. -- she replied.

Thief? What is she talikng about? I've never stolen anything, even as a kid.

-- What are you talking about? -- Humphrey asked -- Dad, what does she mean? --

-- I don't know, but whatever it is, you're wrong-- I said, looking at the woman. -- If what you're saying is that I stole to get this high in the business, you're wrong. --

-- Well, that's oddly specific, don't you think, "Mr. Raynose"? -- She said, smiling.

-- It's the only thing you'd mean. I am rich as it is, why would I steal now? -- I said.
