6. Thou shall not kill.

The story below;

There's a man wake from his long sleep. His eyes wander in confusion where he might be. All he can see was debris of the last tragedy as he looked into his surroundings. He tried to speak and a rough feeling of thirst was on in his throat. He growl twice and thrice to bring out his voice to say something. He made a sound but not enough to be heard by anyone around. All he can see was darkness and it is hopeless case if he can't move his body and make a sound to be found by any rescuer. He tried to recognize something from his hands. He was lying and both arm spread to each places. He can't even identify what's in his back. All he can felt was aching body of him. His one hand loose from its place and tried to identify what is near of it. All he can touch was sharp shards of woods and glasses. He thank for not being dead because of this things. He still trying his luck to get out of it and be save. His free hand trying to feel his surroundings, it’s not that spacious but enough to move. He made sure he can pull his other arm from being pressed but not hurting unlike his body. He moved a little to his left and feels the object that was restraining his other hand. When he learned that it can be moved up he tried with all his strength to push it. He released it after a long pushed and slowly he let go of the metal object.

After being free from his position he touches everything just to make sure he won't be press by these debris around him after doing his escape.

Few minutes more of studying how to get out of it, he heard a voice. He listened first before making his decision to speak. He shouted when he learned that the voice was already gone. He tried many times of saying "help" even though he can't do it properly because of his dried throat. Doing it for many times cracked his already broken voice and after he fainted and brought again to fall asleep.

When he woke up again he was in the hospital and hearing a different chattering of voices around. He can't move but he can see some part of his body. His hands are okay but not his lower limb.

The nurse of him came and smiles before him but he didn't answer it sweet but sorrow. The nurse told him he was saved and rescue after a month under the debris of the building he was working. Half of his body was paralyses during the time he was still a victim and he can't even remember that because of undetermined aching of his body during the time. He got amputated both legs after the decision made by the doctors due to decayed parts of his legs.

He cried after the nurse told him everything. Earthquakes ruin his jobs building and life and even the families he had was nothing left. He screamed and cursing his life, people and his trust to the only one he believing, God.

After many months of stay in hospital he is free to go and placed in a shelter where every one of them was a victim of tragedy. He looked at them one by one and studies their faces. All are sad but some are still smiling though there's a sign of loneliness in their stories. But instead of sharing his view he let the days passed. He pushed his self away of the others. He locked his self in the room and wander for the things he is facing since the moment he lost the first member of the family. His father died by car accident. His mother killed by a robber while in the market for market day. His older sister and brother died in drowning while they are all in summer vacation. And him, he is about to died due to his building which collapse after the quake. But he lived and he is now sitting in a wheelchair.

His tears start to dripped. He was thinking of all the saddest part of his life but he is still here and doing these - facing the window. He can see everything outside, everything is broken, and cars at roads were improperly arranged. Still have the signs of the quake. He pushes a little to hold the window frame and held his body to it. The night sounds painful cause by those horns from cars; the voices of people are stinging echoes in the ears too. He opened the window and brings his body to the edge. He looks down and breathes once. He looked up and tears escape his eyes.

He was silently praying while seeing the darkness of the sky, none to be seen this night.

After a few minutes of silence alone someone saw him from where he is.

"Hey! Don't do it!" The woman shouted and she immediately got an attention from somewhere near them.

He looked down and stunned in surprise that a lot of people are there but earlier of what he remembered there was no one to see. He cannot even count the number of the people down there. A few more minutes staring at them a hand holds his shoulder and another one hold his torso.

He was pulled away from the window and placed back to his wheelchair.

"Don't you ever try to jump in that window? And to inform you too, you're still lucky that you are the only survivor in that building. And don't waste their effort finding survivors in every building they tried and search for any luck." The man said to him.

"And killing yourself is not the answer to your loneliness why you were left and still living in this world even though you got this kind of disability situation. Never to forget that you are not the only one who got no legs." Said by the other man and showed his one leg which is made of metal?

He saw what the man trying to say and he looked at him blankly and still silent. No words to comprehend his last thoughts for the world after he let his life are taken. But unfortunately it didn't happen. He was saved again.

The two men stand there while waiting for him to talk or give something to tell them about what they have witness.

"I'm sorry." He said then twists his chair about-face with them. "I've been in too many challenges in this life I had. Every family I have been all gone and here I am sitting in this wheelchair." He sound desperate of his words and still not convince of what's next for his new life. "This isn't the life I wanted. And this is no longer mine. Every family I have has gone. What's the point of living left-behind?"

"You still live after the tragedy that means you still had your purpose undone. Maybe you were meant for something. Not being what you are yesterday but by tomorrow. Killing yourself will kill also those people who will need you for their future. You never know who will take it from you, listen your side experience, your very purpose in this life. Maybe you are being challenge to re-track your life here. Maybe you’re doing not exactly what's your purpose. He knows everything, He knows your angst every time you feel it, and He knows where you should be going. And that's what you need to find out." The first man said with all attention to him.

He moved his chair again and looks at the two people and them giving him warm smiles he never expects to see after he ignores their true presence. He is just looking while the two are there standing, smiling and waiting for him. "How?"

.....
Staying alive after every tragedy was a purpose. All you have to do is find it. Don't chase the wrong path of life just because you wanted that. Every people in this world has its purpose but no one will ever do find it unless they have been to realization why things never get to its place according to your will.
