I felt so happy the entire day at work. I was going to the vending machine to get me and Tom a soda. Mark approached me and smiled. "Hi, Melony." he greeted. I smiled at him and walked away. "You're not going to say hi back?" I turned around to look at him. "Hi." I said. "Thank you. Enjoying your job?" "Yes." "That's nice. I've missed you. My new secretary is horrible. She's not as fast as you are." "She's not use to you like I was." "I know. Do you regret ever working with me?" "No. To be honest I've missed you, too." "I'm pretty sure you've heard about the fight me and Tom had." "Yes I did." "I'm really sorry about that. If I really cared about you then, I would have been more supportive of your success." "This is strange. You apologizing? I would have never guessed." He chuckled at me and smiled. "Cute. It's not my strong suit but I'm getting use to it." "Since you've apologized and okay with my relationship. I guess I can tell you the good news." I said. "What's that?" "Tom and I are engaged." I watched his expression harden but, put on a fake smile for me. "Congradulation. When's the wedding?" "I don't know. But, I promise to have your invite." "Thanks. I gotta go. Tons of work to do." He gave me a hug and kiss on the cheek. I watched him as he was walking away. I felt bad yet, confused.

I handed Tom his soda and sat next to him. He had ordered pizza and it had just arrived. "What took you so long?" he asked. "I was talking with Mark." I replied. "What for? Was he bothering you again?" "No. He actually apologized for that fight you two had." "And?" "Also, that if he cared about me that he should be more supportive of my happiness." "You mean relationship wise right?" "Yes." "It just seems fairly odd on his part." "I know." "I wouldn't breathe into it much if you ask me." "Yeah. I understand." He took a huge bite of his pizza and smiled at me. I couldn't help but laugh at him. He is so adorable.

I had arrived home from work and tired at that. I went upstairs to my room to take a shower. I got out and slipped into my night gown. I stood there by my dresser gazing at the beautiful engagement ring Tom gave me. I placed it in my jewelry box and turned to go to bed. I then see a man dressed in all black and wearing a black mask. I let out a scream and he wrapped his arms around me. He placed a cloth over my nose. I began to feel woozy and everything went black.
