My day was occupied by thoughts of the party and how I should dress for it. I was literally walking in circles in my room trying to plan everything perfectly.

"What's wrong wrong Callie? I can hear your footsteps from the kitchen" My mum brought me back to reality. She was by the door resting her hand on the doorframe.

"I just have a dance tonight and I have nothing to wear" I explained as I sat on my bed.

My mum's eyes widened in surprise "You are going to a dance! Thats wonderful finally you decide to leave the house!" She clapped amused, her eyes filled with happiness.

"Mum it's not funny! I literally have nothing to wear" I giggled as I shook my head pointing towards my wardrobe.

My mum placed her index finger on her chin and thought something for a couple of seconds "Maybe you can check on my wardrobe, I have some nice dresses that I don't wear anymore" She finally said. A smiled formed on my face and I stood rapidly flashing her my teeth euphorically.

We both entered her room and she started to check through her wardrobe looking for any dress that could fit me.
She showed me a couple of dresses but they were either not my size or not my style.

"What about this one" My mum spoke holding a tight red dress with an open leg cut on the right side.

I nodded vividly and hugged her tightly. She hugged me back resting her head on my shoulder. It has been a while since we hugged...

I showered as fast as I could making sure what was left of my hair was nice and clean. I blowdried my hair and rapidly changed into the dress my mum provided me. It fit me like a ring to a finger. I was extremely happy.

I decided to make some waves to my hair so it would look nicer. A couple of knocks on the bathroom door made me direct my gaze towards my mum. She was holding something shiny in one of her hands and matching heels on the other.

"I found some matching shoes and a couple of jewels you can wear" She said smiling as she placed the earrings and a necklace on the counter of the sink.

I thanked her for the billionth time as I stepped on the matching red heels. Then I placed the golden earrings on each of my ears and embraced my neck with the golden necklace.
I was ready and done.

We entered my mum's car and she finally started the engine and drove. After fifteen minutes we were parked at the entrance of the school. I could hear some music coming from the stadium and some couples making their way inside the building.

My mum looked at me with hoy and happiness "You look beautiful, I'm so proud of you!"

I gently smiled back "Thanks mum you are the best" I hugged her one last time.

"Enjoy baby, you are going to get all the eyes on you!" She said as I exited the car. I rolled my eyes and giggled to her comment.

I waved at her as I saw her drive away through the darkening scene. I turned around to meet the building. I sighed reluctantly as I started to get more nervous each step I took closer.

I hoped for the best as I opened the school doors. The hall was empty but I could hear the music coming from the stadium. I walked over the doors. My breathing and clicking heels accompanying my thoughts.
Finally I stood in front of the big doors that led to the stadium. I gulped one last time before gently pushing the doors opened.

Loud house music occupied my ear. Different colour flashing lights moved all over the room. Some people were dancing on the dance-floor in front of a stage with a big screen and a DJ-board. Other people crowed by some tables which had several drinks and some sweets and other snacks.
