My favorite time of night
Is when the stars come out to play.
They enchanted me so thoroughly.
I was sure they were magic.
The way they twinkled and shined,
On an endless black backdrop.
I always thought they only shined for me,
Because I felt drawn to them so quickly.
Every time I’m able I’ll go outside,
Just so I can see the stars in the night sky.
I know they are magic,
Enchanted even,
I know because I believe.
They hold my secrets silently.
My stars know me
And I know them.
They are my secrets of the night sky.
