As Sir Atticus fell asleep he could not help, but have those monstrous girls on his mind. So when he finally did go to sleep there was no surprise when they showed up in his dream. At first it was a chase, his team was chasing her's through a green forest, but somewhere along the way they disappeared. It was just him and her. Sir Atticus and Lani.
"Stop running!" He yells and to his surprise she listened. They stopped on a frozen lake, nothing in miles in any direction.
"What are you going to do to me?" She asks not turning around.
"Taking you to jail where you belong." He says firmly walking to her. The closer he got the more she changed. Until her whole outfit was something else.
Lani was still standing with her back facing him, but her outfit has not her usual hoodie and jeans. No it was a prisoner's clothes. He turned her around to face him, but when he did Sir Atticus found tear stains down her face. Something about this made his heart ache and he had no idea why. She was a criminal and deserved to be punished, but even though he kept telling himself that the pain did not go away.
"Sir Atticus, are you going to let them hurt me?" Lani asks looking into his eyes, tears forming.
"You murdered people you can't get off easy." He responds, a clump forming in his throat.
"So that is a yes." She sighs and turns away. "I wish we had meet before." Lani's form was starting to disappear, but he couldn't let that happen. She can't leave him again.
"Wait!" Sir Atticus shouts. He grabs her by the waist and pulls her in for a kiss. The view changed again, this time they were on a mountain and she was in white. Before he could get anymore of a view his vision went red and there was a scream. Sir Atticus wakes in a deep sweat, Ashe, Kai and Ercan staring at him worriedly.
"Are you okay Sir?" Ercan was the first to speak up. "You screamed."
"Nothing to worry about, get back to bed." Sir Atticus snapped laying back down. The others soon followed, but he still couldn't get that dream out of his head. What did it mean? Why her of all people? Who screamed? Soon the questions stopped and he fell into a dreamless sleep.
-----------
In a local inn on the other side of the town, Enya and Lani were preparing for a mind interaction. Enya is on her way into Moss' brain. Lani was mixing herbs while Enya laid down in her nightgown. Fia then came in and sprinkled water from an ancient pond on to her face and the rest of her body.
"Captain are you sure you want to do this?" A nervous Nandin says kneeling down beside her. "You don't have to do this ma'am, I would be honored to do this for you."
"Thank you Nandin, but I must do this. I am the only one who has seen his strengths." Enya says patting her favorite fighter's cheek. "I will be fine, protect my sister while I am under." She smiles and him while he nods.
"Yes captain." He gets up and sits by the window.
"Let's do this." Enya looked at her sister.
"Okay, but if I sense something is wrong we are pulling you out." Lani says looking in her sister's eyes.
"Deal." Enya smiles. Soon the herbs were ready for her to ingest, and they started burning Moss's hair that they got from the train hijacking.
The smell mixed with the herbs and soon put Enya to sleep where she entered the world inside Moss's mind. She was standing in the middle of a shallow lake, the water went up to her knees. Enya couldn't move, but it felt as though she hasn't stopped moving. The landmarks kept changing until it stopped, Enya was standing in front of a little boy with red hair.
"Hello little boy." She smiles at him. "Can I ask for your help?"
"I don't see why not you are already asking me things." He says reading a book, not bothering to look up.
"I see, do you know where I can find information here?" Enya asks looking at the boy.
"All the information you need is in a book." He says still not looking up.
"Oh, okay.." By this time Enya's head was hurting. "May I ask your name?"
"You know my name." This time he looks up at her.
Enya, startled by his bright green eyes, takes a step back. Yes she did know who he was, but what he was doing here made no sense at all. This boy had died years ago, what connection does Moss have with him.
"I am Moss." He responds as if reading her mind.
"That can't be. I saw you die. He killed you." Enya fell to her knees. "We saw you. They killed you." Soon tears were running down her cheeks.
"No, they didn't." He said this time as the Moss she sees today. "They tried to, but they couldn't. I was marked by the protector. My savior in red, she saved me." A smile slowly appeared on his face and the scene changed again. It was a battle field, one the girls have seen in their dreams one too many times. It was their hometown, the place where they lost everything.
The Moss had vanished, but Enya was not giving up. She would figure out what had happened to her childhood friend. She ran around looking for the boy who went by a different name.
"Samson!" She called out looking for him. "Samson!" Soon Enya heard coughing and ran to the source. "Samson!" There before her was once again the little boy. Blood running down his face, but she couldn't run to him. She was already there, but she couldn't remember this.
Her clothes were stained red and she was wearing a dress, the color of her hair had changed to a dark midnight blue and her eyes were glowing white. Grown Enya couldn't make out what her past self was saying, but she did see herself hand the boy a little blue gem. Just as soon as the vision appeared it had vanished. Once again sat the boy reading in front of her.
"Samson, what happened to you how could you work for them!" Enya couldn't hold it in anymore. "They hurt you, but you forgave them! How?" Enya felt like crying and screaming.
"Who is Samson. I don't know what you are talking about. They saved me." The young Moss said. He looks up and showed her a scar on his head. "I don't remember much from that night, but I know that they saved me."
"Or did someone else?" An older version of him appeared next to him reading the same book. Her sight soon blurred. A voice was calling out to her.
"No, I haven't found what I came to!" Enya shouted, but it was too late. She woke up surrounded by her friends. Tears were streaming down her face, she couldn't do anything but sob. Lani hugged her sister tightly.
"What did you see?" Nandin asked. "Captain what happened?" He was on the edge, wanting to go find this Moss and kill him.
"I saw Samson." Was all she could manage, and that was all she needed to say. They have heard of him before, Lani and Enya's childhood friend. Most importantly he was her fiance.
