After a well long walk home, Elsie had returned with a new creature. She walked through the paddocks and grinned at Berdette, "look here Berdette, I found him scurrying inside work, isn't he the cutest?" The thestral flared it's nostrils to sniff the smaller creature, she go a well good sniff in and nudge the creature in the belly, making a fair few coins drop from its well hidden pouch. With quick reflexes Elsie caught one and stared at it peculiarly. It was no coin she had ever seen before, it was larger than a usual coin with strange symbols but managed to make out the words that engraved the circumference.

"Gringotts Bank... Gringotts? I've never heard of that bank before." She hummed to herself, flipping the coin over and reading the back, " something.. Galleon? What currency is that? Where have you been little guy?" Elsie asked the small creature knowing an answer form it wasn't likely, she sighed and gave the coin back to the creature. She turned and walked back toward the house, where she would usually spend several days studying the creature, its behaviour and dieting. She walked inside and headed for the study, where her work was in it's usual spot, scattered all over the desk, pinned to the walls, crammed in her desk drawers.

She cleared space for her furry little friend, and started to draw it from different perspectives. She drew until her hand cramped up, ceasing any more drawing from happening. She looked over, "I must think of a name for you little one. You'll be apart of the family... only if you want too of-." A small rap on the door caught her attention and cut her off, she excused herself and headed to the front door. She walked by a mirror and noticed her red hair was in all different places, she had ink marks on her face and she just looked like a mess. She tried fixing her appearance although the person at the front door was growing rather impatient.

She opened it, very well aware of her appearance however wasn't quite expecting a visit from the odd man back at the shop. "Erm.... Can I help you?" She queried, an eyebrow raised. Her visitor shuffled on his feet before clearing his throat, "oh..uh.. you left this at your work... i just wanted to return it." He avoided long eye contact with her as he handed over her Journal. She took it from him unsure, "my journal? The one i left on the desk... where i work- Are you following me?" She near on scolded, she grew weary that the odd man had read her journal and was now interested in what exactly was in it.

"No-no my apologies, you see, I think you have something of mine... a Niffler, the furry bugger likes to scatter off, you know? Whenever he gets the chance to get his hands on something shiny." Newt Scamander chuckled nervously, he was rather grateful that a magical folk whom had a knack for magical creatures found the creature than say a muggle. "Pardon? Did you say... a what? Niffler?" Elsie was rather confused, perhaps it was the given name of the creature she had recently brought home. "Sorry, erm perhaps you're more acquainted with the more dangerous creatures, your Journal had lovely drawings of some known killer creatures..."

The whole exchange was rather awkward and much one sided, all Newt seemed to be getting from Elsie as a response was just an even more perplexed look. She had no idea what gibberish he was talking of, but of course Newt just chuckled nervously as it was normal for fellow magical folk to look at him as strange. "Look I apologise sir, you're not making any sense, i've had a long day-." Elsie had started closing the door however Newt stopped her from closing it as he saw the creature scurry across the floor. The two looked at each other momentarily, before fighting over the door, Elsie trying to close it and Newt trying to pry it open, of course being taller than she, he pushed open the door making it hit her rather hard in the face, knocking her on the floor.

Groaning in pain she felt dizzy. "I am truly sorry miss." Newt apologised before wreaking havoc in her house trying to get to the Niffler. Once he had tracked it back into the study, he finally caught hold of it and jammed it into his suitcase. He sighed in relief a took a moment to catch his breath, he took note of his surroundings, noticing the whole room practically covered in notes of the magical creatures he saw in Elsie's journal. It was rare to cross paths with someone much like him, but the lack of magical items had Newt worried. Elsie stumbled in holding her face, blood dribbling through her fingers, in his haste he had unintentionally broke her nose.
