What happened that night changed her life forever, now a particular young woman Elsie Nightingale, old enough to leave the orphanage had sought out to find these magical mysteries that would be very well hidden in the world around her. She didn't have much possessions, in fact she had three changes of clothes, not good quality at all, one and a half pairs of shoes and her book. Her book was everything to her, like her journal, her life line, it was near falling apart but it had everything she knew of her strange and peculiar friend at the Orphanage.
You would all be pleased to hear that the magnificent Thestral that befriended Elsie all those years ago had followed her out from the Orphanage. While this meant freedom for them both, there was no telling where they'd end up in the future, no family, no home, they had no where and no one but one another. Elsie promised Berdette to find a nice home where the creature could run free, and if ever they ran into other wild Thestrals, to re-home them as well.
Since the age of Ten, Elsie had the idea of running a shelter for magical creatures that had lost their way, she would only ever sell them to the kindest of people, but intended to keep the creatures so they knew she would provide a safe haven for them. A wonderful thought that unfortunately came to an end the older she became. Now at the young age of Eighteen, she got fired from her job and had no source of income. Better yet the man she was so feverishly pawned off to by the orphanage didn't even want her.
But she didn't need anyone, or so that's what she told herself. And so began the journey for Elsie to find a nice home to hold up in. The two had spent quite some time searching, looking for the right place, spent many nights held up under bridges, in strangers sheds, however the several week journey to find the right place had stopped when they walked far out of a small town and into a scenery of green rolling hills.
An old run down house sat lonely and weathered, vines crawled up from the ground and onto the walls. It had been peaceful and quiet looking, away from the noise of the town. It may not look like much at all from the outside however Elsie could see its potential, she smiled and peered at Berdette. "Welcome home." she uttered, there was much work to be done. The two treaded through the tall overgrown grass, once a vibrant green colour, now a bland mustard colour.
Once inside the house smelt old and stale, much like the smell that embedded in the walls at the orphanage. Although this stench was from abandonment, the stench at the Orphanage was merely the smell of thirty children. Dust coated the wooded walls, and swirled into the air disturbed by sudden liveliness, the dust swelled up in Elsie's nose making her sneeze profusely. Once stopped, she took a moment to look at the furniture, it was beautiful almost antique furniture that hadn't been used in what seemed like a hundred years.
The house just needed some loving, that's all, that's what Elsie told herself and she was sure going to try and turn this magnificent home into her haven.

___________________Several more years had passed, and in those years Elsie spent quite some time dedicated to her own work. Now a striking young woman yet much older than she was prior to finding her home, she often spent her time across the different continents in search for the world hidden just beneath the human one.
Elsie's once sad looking home had turned into a magnificent house, that no longer smelt stale and old, yet smelt of lavender and pomegranates. And what once was just Elsie and Berdette was now Elsie, Berdette, Gladace, Benjamin and Doreen. To say her travels were difficult would be an understatement, despite not knowing what she was looking she was still determined to find these creatures.
Her study room had been littered with old pieces of parchment, with scribbles and notes, ones she had taken of the creatures that now occupied her home. What once was plain open fields surrounding the house, a large watering hole was dug up to accommodate the two water creatures Elsie had stumbled upon on her travels. Whilst in Ireland, not particularly in search for anything yet in search for things out of the ordinary, Elsie had encountered a particular creature that took a liking to her.
