He couldn't do it, no matter how much he convinced himself it was his duty as a ministry member to prevent muggle knowledge of their world. He quickly drew back his wand, he didn't mind that he could potentially lose his job. Knowing that this innocent muggle went about her life as per normal was enough to make Newt happy. "Would you like to join us for dinner, I know it's not for a while but I can explain some of my notes to you, I doubt you'd understand some of the gibberish in there."

Chuckling he looked away from her, "believe me it would take a lot for me to not understand something.. I don't want to intrude in your home." Elsie rolled her eyes, "you already intruded when you messed up my house, I'm not cleaning it up all on my own." While she playfully tapped his him, she wasn't joking, Newt grabbed a hint of that, an old friend of his, Leta Lestrange was similar. Although similar the two were different, Leta had dark hair, as dark as the energy surrounding her yet she could always find a way to joke whenever something was serious.

While Newt barely knew Elsie she carried herself different, perhaps it had been her fiery red hair, that reminded him of a phoenix or the purity the surrounded her innocence. Or even better yet perhaps it was the fact she was a muggle. "Once again I am terribly sorry, I really must find away to restrain the little bugger he-." Elsie cut him off, "You don't need to keep on apologising. I'm past that I'd just like it if you stayed around longer, it's good to finally have someone around that.. gets me you know?"

He nodded with a small chuckle, he understood completely and she was certainly right that it was good to have someone around similar in ways. Like a breath of fresh air after sitting inside a hot brick house for hours, the people who don't understand always got suffocating to be around. The got inside the home and finally had a proper look at the mess, it wasn't much but it would be a while to sort through Elsie's paperwork. "Alright, all hands on deck, your furry friend can help us." Elsie clapped her hands together and looked at Newt, whom stood taller than she, he merely chuckled.

"Wait you are being serious. The little rascal barely does anything for me-."

"He started this whole mess, he can help." Elsie put her hands on her hips, pursing her lips and looking incredibly intimidating, Newt would much rather he crawl into his case than to have the short red haired woman look at him like that for too long. "If you say so." Newt sighed, kneeling on the floor and opening his case. He pulled the Niffler out and scolded it, "you have some cleaning up to do mister."

Elsie giggled to herself and bit her lip, she thought it was funny how Newt would talk to the Niffler like she did with her creatures. She bent down and took the Niffler gently, cradling it in her arms, "what was it called again?" She asked, looking at Newt, he looked away once her eyes were on his, "a Niffler." He answered shutting his case. "Hm.. Well little fella, you help me get my house in order and you can have..." she trailed off, pulling a nice gold ring off her finger with a dark onyx stone in the centre, "this.." she held it up in front of his face, the creature was trying its hardest to grab it only Elsie snatched it away.

"Clean first." She sternly instructed and placed the creature on the floor. Newt watched as the often lazy creature picked up pieces of rubbish and paper already. "I think that's the most amount of work i've ever seen him do in his life." Newt commented in astonishment, Elsie smirked shyly before shrugging, "you said he likes shiny things. Don't tell me I have to bribe you to do work as well?" She pushed his arm slightly before standing up.

He chuckled scratching the back of his neck, "yes- I mean no..." he blushed, wide eyed and turned around, he was never that particularly great at talking to pretty girls, or just the female gender in general. He tended to stumble and make a complete buffoon of himself.

"Come on then." The got to her study which was already in a complete mess, however it was in a mess more than usual. "If you see anything you like feel free to take it." She offered sitting herself on the floor across from Newt. He was take aback from her kindness, sure he had met people with kind hearts but none of them seemed to stand out like Elsie.
