Over night the temperature had dropped, however the morning breeze was cool and the sunlight made the atmosphere warm. The house had windows open and doors ajar, allowing not just the breeze through, but Berdette had made herself quite comfy in the study next to Elsie whom fell asleep drawing last night.

She had pieces of parchment covering her hands and drawing materials scattered across the desk. It wasn't unusual that she would fall asleep here, with the mess surrounding her. She jolted awake as if something disturbed her peaceful slumber however it wasn't anything in particular, she often woke herself up from sleeps not intentionally.

Parchment stuck to her face and her hair wild she looked like a hungover mess yet she hadn't drunk a single drop of alcohol she was just, in general a mess. She adjusted her eyes and removed the piece of parchment. Ink stained her cheek, however she hadn't notice as she peered at the paper and the image. It was of Newt Scamander, as strange as it seemed his freckled face was all that came to mind before she fell asleep last night. It was also a reminder that it wasn't at all a dream, she had truly met a wizard. She had just started to colour the image before she fell asleep, all that stood out was his bright hazel eyes and golden dishevelled hair. Despite knowing the man for little time she had done a striking job at capturing his features.

Berdette looked over her shoulder and huffed making her smile, "I know he was quite lovely wasn't he?" She gave the Thestral a pat and leaned back into her seat thinking about numerous questions like; how many wizards were out there? Why now had she only just encountered a wizard? Was the wizard to normal people ratio relatively balanced? She had so many questions but wasn't able to get an answer, she wasn't sure what was worse, the not knowing or knowing there something out there but not being able to understand it.

A loud knocking on the door startled both Berdette and Elsie, she held a hand to her heart and stood up. "bugger, any bet that would be Jeremiah." She cursed, he would probably be checking up on her after her abrupt departure from the shop yesterday. Elsie passed the same mirror as she did yesterday and gawked at her appalling appearance, however knowing it was only Jeremiah she didn't mind. Gingerly, she opened the door, poking her head out ever so slightly. She almost fell through the door upon seeing that it wasn't Jeremiah but indeed Newt Scamander.

"Erm.. good morning!" Newt chuckled and waved nervously, Elsie opened up the door wider and chuckled awkwardly herself. "Newt! I wasn't expecting you back from Ukraine so soon... I wasn't expecting to hear from you at all.." she admitted, her grip tight on the door handle, "-Oh please! Come in." She ushered him inside which he thanked her for, he paced while he tried to think of the right words, "well, see I haven't been to Ukraine yet because I spent all of last night thinking about you-." He choked up on his words and stuttered, blushing as much as Elsie was, the comment caught her off guard. A wizard? Think about her? "Erm- t-thinking about how you didn't want to part ways with your creatures, I would never separate the five of you but I would really appreciate the company of you on my journey to find different creatures alike... everyone is welcome. I have room for them to stay!" He stuttered in the beginning but caught his pace.

Elsie stood in mild shock, she had no idea nor a comeback as to how to reply to this, not every day a wizard-of all people- is rather persistent on you joining their travels to help write a book on magical creatures. She was flattered, at first, but then the thought saddened her immensely, how easy it would be to just simply join Newt, it wasn't like she'd be leaving behind much. That was what saddened her the most. "You delayed going to Ukraine to come back here and ask me to join you even after I said no the first time?" She smiled wide, something she rarely did and Newt's stomach flipped. He had made the right decision coming back. "It's a lonely life, you meet great people but they rarely stay long enough. But I won't bother you again Elsie if you want to stay, by all means keep in touch."
