Chapter four: sleepovers and parents meeting parents

Meena's POV

The smell of bacon and eggs awoke me from my slumber. It's been a week since the first day of school, and my bionics being exposed. Today was the day Destiny and Leo come over for a sleepover.

"Meena wake up your friends will be here any minute!" My mother yells from her bedroom.

I jolt up and see that Sheeva is already awake. I check the time on my iPod 11:55. I gasp and run out of bed and into my shared bathroom. My outfit for the day is a simple floral dress fit for a 6yr old. I skip down the hallway and Into the kitchen.

"Morning!" I chirp.
"Hey Meena, D and L are on there way!!" Sheeva says excitedly.

As if on cue, the doorbell rings. I drop my fork and super speed to the door.

"Destiny! Leo!" I yell giving them a big hug.

"Hey Meena-ow too tight." "Easy on the super strength, M!" They yell.

I let go, "sorry, just really excited your here!"

Right after I said that, Sheeva walks in. "Hey guys come in!"

"Ok be good kids alright?" Destiny's dad, Christian, and Leo's mom, Tasha, say.

"Yes mommy!" "Yes daddy!" Destiny and Leo say Unenthusiastically.

I let them in and bring them to the 'computer room.' They drop their bags on the floor and walk into the kitchen where I told them to meet me.

"Hey guys what are your names?" My dad asks.

"I'm Leo!" "I'm Destiny!" They exclaim.

"Nice to meet you, I'm Meena and Sheeva's dad, Shah." My dad introduces.

"Hi." They say shyly.
"Hey what are your names? I'm Maryam, Meena and Sheeva's mom." My mother says, walking into the kitchen.

"Mom this is Destiny and Leo." I introduce.

"Well we should go play tag outside." Sheeva finally speaks.

"Ok kids have fun." My dad says.

"Race ya!" I yell and super speed out the door.
"Awe not fair." I hear them say.

A few minutes later, Destiny, Sheeva, and Leo come running from the garage.
"Ha I beat you!" They chorus.

"No you guys tied!" I tell them.

"Ok so do you want to play hide and seek?" Sheeva asks changing the subject.

"Yea! Who's gonna be it?" Destiny asks.

"ME!" I yell.

"Gotcha!" I exclaim.

I have found all of them except Leo. He is the hardest since he's really tiny.

I hear rustling behind me and decide to use my bionic hearing. I push a piece of hair behind my ear to activate the app. I can hear Leo giggling from behind the bushes so I use my super speed to sneak up on him.

"Boo!" I yell.

"Ahhh! What the heck Meena?!" Leo screams.

"Gotcha!" I exclaim, "you're it!"

"Aww man!" He says and starts counting to ten.

By the time we got inside, it was already 7. We decide to skip dinner, and make popcorn.
"Hey what movie do you want to see?" I ask them.

"Shrek!" Destiny and Leo chorus.

"Okay!" I yell back to them and start making our bed in the TV room.
