Meena's POV.
After school, Douglas comes and picks us up.
"So how was school?" Douglas asks.
Sheeva and I look at each in worry. I try and make up an excuse but it ends up me looking lost.
"Hey meena are you ok? Did something happen at school?" Douglas asks with concern.
"Uhhh-well you see-uhhh..." I pause. "We kinda sorta-accidentally showed our bionics to Leo and Destiny." I finally spit out.
Douglas slams on the breaks ad pulls into the middle of the road.
"YOU WHAT??!!" He screamed.
Sheeva and I start crying at the sudden outburst from our uncle Douglas.
"No don't cry I'm sorry." Our uncle pleads.
"We're sorry uncle Dougie." Sheeva says while sniffling.
"It's fine, did anybody else see your bionics?" Douglas asks whilst driving again.
"No just them." I say sniffling as well.
"Ok we will talk about this when we get home." And with that he stopped talking.
* * *
"YOU DID WHAT?" Our dad yells at us.
"We're sorry..." Sheeva and I mumbled.
"YOU'RE SORRY?? YOU JUST EXPOSED YOURSELVES!!" Dad screamed in pure rage.
"Come on Shah, give them a break it was an accident." Douglas
defended us.
"AN ACCIDENT? IF IT WASN'T FOR YOU IMPLANTING THEM WITH BIONICS IN THE FIRST PLACE, WE WOULDN'T HAVE BEEN IN THIS SITUATION!" Shah says immediately regretting it.
Douglas face turns shocked. "You wanted them to die? You wanted me not to save them."
"I-uhhh-" my dad stammers.
"Daddy is this true? You wanted us to die?" Sheeva and I begin to cry and run into our room.
* * *
KNOCK KNOCK
We heard a knock at the door, but didn't bother to open it.
"Meena, Sheeva, can I come in?" My dads voice was calm now.
"NO GO AWAY I HATE YOU!" I yell.
He comes in anyway but with Douglas behind him.
"Douglas and I have something to tell you." Shah says.
"We want to tell you about why you needed bionics."
He then begins to tell us about how Sheeva and I were born with heart failure. And the only thing that could save us was bionics. He said it worked, but I needed an inhaler just in case. He then told us about how since I was the smallest, I would need more than one main ability to keep me alive. As well as Sheeva, she only needed one main ability to survive.
"We're sorry we didn't tell you this before. But without bionics, I would have never seen my beautiful children grow up." My dad explained.
"We're sorry we showed of our bionics to Leo and Destiny." I say looking down.
"It's fine, but make sure nobody else knows, got it?" Douglas says.
"Got it!" Sheeva and I chorus.
