I walked down the street warily. I knew I could take on anyone there , but I was in no mood to fight. And judging from the looks on the faces of most, not only were they as high as the moon, the looked as though they wouldn't need much encouraging for a fight. And they'd give you a run for your money. One can only be too careful.

As I walked around the street, I saw a squabble going on down the street. I had kept to the shadows, but was now moving out of there because of who I saw.
Tall, elegant, well built and blonde was  [and still is] the most beautiful woman I've ever seen, and mind you, I've seen plenty. Being a toughie like me, you easily get hired by beautiful dames needing protection from obsessed boyfriends. I am usually hired to do so.
I beat up the two junkies holding the girl, and walked her home. And when I stopped outside her door, I asked her name, and she spoke the words that'd forever alter my life.
'My name is Sarah.'
