And then, on Monday evening, when her husband went for his meeting, she told me her plan.
The surprising part was that I would execute the murder. The way she outlined it was in such that she had no hand in it. I would take the blame.

She told me, "I have the plan."
I asked her, "What is it?"
"I just had a crazy idea, Scott. I'm not entirely sure it'll work."
"Tell me what it is," I said, almost angrily.
"Well, I've decided my husband isn't good enough for me. He doesn't treat me like you do."
"Go on....."
"I don't want him anymore!! I detest him. He handles me roughly. I hate him!!"
"Well, then file for a divorce. That's what they're for."
"You don't understand, Scott. He'll never let me go. He's extremely possessive."
I looked at her, considering how much of her I should actually believe.
I didn't think I should doubt her.
I shrugged and said to her,
"Oh well. What have you thought of ?"
She fidgeted with her fingers and said, "Scott, he has a lot of money too."
I wondered where her conversation was beginning to lead to.
'Don't you think I know that too?' I responded, not too certain as to what she was driving at
