Chip: We finally did it! Ladies and gentlemen (if any of you blokes actually use Wattpad ...) here it is! CHAPTER 1!!! XD

   ~ Chip and Dale xoxo

“C’mon! It would be fun!” I stopped to re-do my lip gloss using a shop window. Studying my reflection, I quickly ran my fingers through my long auburn curls. I was easily one of the smallest teenagers in the shopping centre, so I needed the curls to make sure I got noticed.

“Yeah, but you don’t remember the last time you got drunk. I definitely do, you’re a nightmare Flo. And it’s not much fun carrying you home after a night out.”

My best friend came to stand next to me, examining her own reflection. Marnie was easily a head taller than me, and my complete opposite. For a start, she was sporty. You could tell by her figure that she was a dancer, long and lean. Sure I was slim, but not in the same way. She had dark brown hair, which was dead straight. Her most striking feature however, was her startling eyes. The irises changed to blue or green depending on her surroundings and they were rimmed with dark lashes; no need for mascara. Frankly, eyes like hers made me jealous. Mine were a funny brown… nothing very special. “Ehh, you know I only do it to annoy my dad right?” I said, knowing she was already fully aware of the minor dispute between my father and me, about what I was allowed to do.

I checked my hair one last time then picked my numerous shopping bags off the marble floor, and we carried on walking. Thank God for Burberry, Gucci and Louis Vuitton, even Marnie admitted I was having a wardrobe crisis. Besides who doesn’t love a little retail therapy once in a while? And what’s wrong with using your parents’ bank account every now and then?  “Please Marnie? I’ve been studying so hard lately, I’m starting to think I’ve turned passive, my life is that boring! Besides, it’s a private shin-dig or whatever, and I can get us invites!”

Marnie rolled her eyes, but smiled, “and what’s so good about these private shin-digs then?” she deliberately made fun of my posh accent, although she was calm and sensitive she never ceased to take the piss out of her best friend… which just so happened to me. And being slightly eccentric meant there was a lot to take the piss out of.

“Darling, this means that they’ll play the best music, have the best drinks, and famous people will be there! We don’t go out often, so we might as well do it in style.”

Marnie scratched the back of her neck, “it just seems a bit too much effort… if you want to go out, that’s fine and I’m up for it! It’s just a bit over the top.”

I checked my phone, seeing we were already ten minutes late, “I promise it’ll be fine. I just have a good feeling about this one, alright? Now where’s Daniel?” we had arrived at a Starbucks, and I was scanning the tables for a familiar face.

“Hey Titch, how’s it going?” I turned and came face to face with one of my oldest family friends, Daniel.

“Perfect now that my favourite twat is here!” I was pulled into a quick hug, before Daniel pouted at me. He was tall and tanned, with blue eyes and a personality of gold. He worked part time as a bouncer for different clubs and occasions, and often managed to get me and a friend into private parties. Daniel gave Marnie a quick smile before pulling out a pair of invites.

“Right girls, you know the drill. As long as you pretend to be eighteen, then I can let you in. But if you get caught, you don’t know me, right?” a mischievous grin was spread over his face, probably due to the longing that was clearly all over my own. I gave him a quick kiss on the cheek, distracting him enough to snatch the pieces of paper out of his grip. Daniel backed up, starting to walk away, but turned to talk to Marnie. “Make sure you look after that piece of work, I’m counting on you, because otherwise I’ll be blamed. That mother of hers does better research than MI6!” he pointed his little finger guns and made shooting noises, before disappearing into the crowds of people, still humming the mission impossible theme tune.

I laughed, that was Daniel alright, always having a laugh… but he was right about my mum. “Now we have more outfits to buy! I’ll need to get some more money out of a cash point.”

“Jesus child, you may be rich but it’ll run out at some point! Besides, you know we’re looking for an apartment, you’re supposed to be saving up, idiot.”

I completely ignored this and continued, “Should we divide and conquer or will we shop better as a team?” I walked off laughing, leaving Marnie to follow behind, grumbling about her aching feet.
