Although 2016 was a very shitty year, I happened to have come across a good amount of nice makeup and skincare products. So I thought it'd be nice to share these products with you and give each a short review/description.

Disclaimer 1: Not all of these products are from 2016, I just happened to have discovered and bought them in 2016.

Disclaimer 2: The picture is not mine...sadly. The only thing that is mentioned in this post that is in the picture is the MAC eyeshadow palette.

With that said, let's get started~

-MAKEUP-

Eyes/ Eyebrows

-TooFaced Natural Matte Eyeshadow Palette: This eyeshadow palette is my everyday, go-to palette. The colors are all warm toned and are great if you're going for a natural look. The colors are very pigmented and are very easy to blend. I'd really recommend this palette to beginners.

-MAC Eyeshadow x15/Warm Neutral: This palette is hands down the most expensive makeup product I've ever bought. It's great for glam looks since most of the eyeshadows are shimmer/glitter instead of matte. I do like to use the matte brown shadow to contour my nose. I wouldn't say that it's worth the money though and the only reason why I got this one was because the lady that worked in the store had totally played me. Congratulations, I got played.

-Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper: It's very easy for me to draw a cat eye with this eyeliner since the it has a thin tip and is very easy to use. The color and the eyeliner itself is quite long lasting compared to other eyeliners I'd used in the past.

-TooFaced Better Than Sex Mascara: I really like this mascara simply because it doesn't clump up as much as others do but still gives you thick, voluminous and elongated lashes. I can put it on, go about my day and not have to worry about any surprise smudges or fallout.

-Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel: For years I've been using a different types of brow gel and it's been quite problematic. I'd have to use a lot of product for only very mediocre results. With the ABH clear brow gel, I only have to use a little bit and my brow hairs won't budge all day.

Lips

-MAC Lip Pencil in Soar: I chose this lip liner for this list because I think the color is really pretty and goes with a ton of different makeup looks and it lasts for quite a while. My only complaint is that it's not as creamy as I'd like it to be but it still looks good on the lips.

-Rimmel London Lip Pencil in Wild Clover: This is my favorite lip liner of 2016. Although it's not very long lasting, the color matches my skin tone amazingly and it's creamer than the MAC lip liner. The color is amazing for everyday use and I personally think that both the MAC lip liner and this lip liner would match most skin tones since color wise they're quite similar. For reference, the MAC lip liner is a bit more cool toned than the Rimmel London one.

-TooFaced Lip Cream in Spice Spice Baby: If you couldn't tell already, I like makeup that's good for natural, everyday looks. This lip cream looks really natural on the lips and is very creamy and hydrating. I like to keep it in my purse and reapply it when I'm on the go.

-Burt's Bees Lip Shimmer in Fig: This was my first time trying out anything with shimmer for my lips and it's actually a quite difficult thing. If the color is too bright and/or there's too much shimmer it looks kind of ridiculous. But this color isn't too dark or too bright and has enough shimmer to just make your lips look plump and hydrated. It's also really moisturizing which is always a plus.
