I, myself, can advocate that frizzy hair is annoying and just doesn't look good. The reason WHY your hair is frizzy is because the outer oil layer  is stripped from your hair strands, leaving your hair dry and brittle. Here is what not to do and what to do to avoid frizzy hair.

Let's start~

What Not To Do

1. Don't wash your hair often. If you wash your hair too often, your hairs natural oils get stripped, thus causing your hair to be dry and frizzy. Also avoid using too much shampoo when you do wash your hair. Shampoo also strips your hair of its natural oils. Instead skip the shampoo for a day and just use conditioner.

2. Don't towel rub your hair. Drying your hair by rubbing it in a towel causes friction and damages the hair. Instead use a softer towel or a cotton t-shirt to dry your hair and gently squeeze the water out of your hair by scrunching it in your hands.

3. Don't use too much heat. The best thing to do is to not use any heat at all. But if you must, try lowering the heat and always use heat protectant.

4. Don't brush your hair after you shower. Your hair is more prone to breaking off after you shower and while your hair is wet. Brushing it will also causes friction which will lead to frizz. Wide tooth combs detangle the hair easily without ripping too much hair and causing any damage. The best thing to do though, is to use a detangling spray and your fingers to comb through your hair.

5. Don't over-process. Over-processing your hair with relaxers or by coloring it causes the most damage to your hair. Your hair dries out a lot and it becomes too delicate and brittle. Try to avoid doing this as much as you can. An oil that is great for hair that's been over-processed is avocado oil. Just simply rub it into your hair from time to time to give it some TLC.

What To Do

1. Use Sulfate free and no alcohol products since these won't dry out or damage your hair. Products that contain sulfate can cause even more problems such as color loss, scalp itching and hair loss.

2. Do deep conditioning or hot oil treatments. These two methods are great for long term results.

For deep conditioning: Apply deep conditioner to washed and damp hair, put on a plastic shower cap and leave it on for about an hour. After one hour, thoroughly wash out the deep conditioner.

For hot oil treatments: Apply an oil of choice to clean, towel dried hair, put on a plastic shower cap and apply heat onto your head for a little while. You can use a blow drier for this or if you live somewhere really hot (lucky you), you can just sit outside in the sun for a longer time. I like heating up the oil before hand by putting the oil jar in hot water.

I would recommend doing this only once or twice a month because if you do it too often, your hair might look too oily.

3. Use the right oils for your hair. I recommend Coconut Oil because it makes your hair manageable and soft and can be used for deep conditioning, Olive Oil, since it controls hair frizz, makes hair soft and can be used as a hot oil treatment and Avocado Oil because it conditions and prevents breakage/dry hair.

4. Try out shampoo for frizzy hair. There are a lot of great shampoos that are especially made to prevent frizzy hair. My favorite ones are from SheaMoisture. Their shampoos have the most amazing ingredients and they have a he variety of different shampoos, conditioners, deep conditioners and hair masks. A great set for anti-frizz is the coconut and hibiscus curl & shine conditioner and shampoo.

5. Use a diffuser on your blowdryer. When you use a diffuser, the air that comes out of the blowdryer doesn't hit your hair as hard as it normally would and it hinders your hair from moving around too much. This helps cut down on frizz and is especially great for people with curly hair. So if you are to use a blowdryer, use one with a diffuser.

That's all~

I kept this chapter short and sweet, I hope you guys don't mind. I would like to apologize for taking so long to get this chapter out. I'm on spring break now and I thought that I'd have plenty of time to update but it turns out that spring break isn't meant for relaxing but to do more schoolwork at home T_T. Anyways, I think everybody already knows by now, but you can send me a request or a question either by leaving a comment or messaging me. I hope this chapter was helpful for those who needed it or at least interesting for those who didn't lmao. I shall talk to you guys soon.

さようなら !
