A lot of people may not know this, but cleaning your makeup is just as important as cleaning your makeup brushes. Or just simply cleaning your face. Here's a list on how to keep your makeup clean and safe.
Let's start•••

How to clean your makeup
The two only things you'll need for cleaning your makeup is a spray bottle of rubbing alcohol and cotton pads. If you want you can use cotton pads that come already soaked in the rubbing alcohol. But if you don't have those at hand, spraying the cotton pads with the spray will do.
Rubbing alcohol kills ... percent of germs and is completely safe to use, since its main priority is for being used for medical reasons.

But first things first, wash your hands!

1. Palettes
Anything that comes in a palette is the easiest to clean. All you need to do is spray the product with some rubbing alcohol and set it out to dry. Once it's dried, it's safe to use.
Remember to also clean the packaging and cover, since that can also contain many germs.

2. Lipsticks
For lipsticks your going to need a cotton pad that's been soaked in rubbing alcohol. And what your going to do is just simply wipe off the first layer of lipstick. And the same as with the palettes, make sure you also clean the outside.

3. Pencils
You should regularly sharpen your pencils to get rid of the first layer of product. But if it's only retractable, do the same as with the lipsticks. Simply use a cotton pad with rubbing alcohol and wipe off the first layer.

4. Mascara/ Lipgloss
Mascara wands should be washed and cleaned once a month. If your mascara has reached it's expiration date, throw it away! It's really not safe to use old mascara. Don't want to regret getting an eye infection.
To clean your mascara and lipgloss/Liptint wands you'll need and antibacterial soap (I prefer one that foams) and you're just going to scrub your applicator wand gently on your hand with the soap. Then rinse it under cold water and spritz some rubbing alcohol.

5. Cushion Foundations
These are the hardest to clean of all.
I like to use a cleansing mat to clean the cushions. But you can also do it without.
First rinse the cushions under warm water and let them soak up. Then using either a antibacterial soap or a beauty blender cleansing soap, start scrubbing the foundation out. Make sure to be gentle because these things can actually get ruined. When you're done cleaning them, rinse them out once again, pat dry with a towel and set out to dry.
For the actual packaging just simply use a cotton pad with rubbing alcohol and wipe the surface clean, even the little mirror.

Once everything is dry it's safe to use right away. You should clean your makeup once a month or so. Or you can have a bottle of rubbing alcohol at hand and spritz the makeup after every use. Just remember to leave them out to dry first.

That's all for today, lovelies

Hello my friends,
I hope this helped out. I seriously do believe that when it comes to skincare, make up and just anything that has to do with the body has to be super hygienic.
I do clean my palettes and lipsticks daily. But for applicator wands, I just do that monthly.
Please remember to vote and follow. I'd really appreciate it. Also leave a comment or message me what the next topic should be.
With that said I wish you all a good day/afternoon/night
