I Wouldn't Have It Any Other Way...

A long time coming

Ariana's POV

Zayn wasn't at all interested in pizza - apparently, he was more interested in why Alexa showed up with the pizza guy.

"He was giving me a ride" She shrugged as she walked through the hall, leading us all into my kitchen. "What? I can't see my boyfriend just cuz he's at work?"

"Boyfriend? I didn't know about this!" I said, shocked.

"I could say the same to you too." Alexa said, looking Zayn up and down and then raising her eyebrows at me.

"Alexa, please don't start!" I pleaded, watching Zayn's face light up at the thought of drama.

"I'm not starting!" Alex said in a stern voice, her eyebrows still raised at me, and i couldnt tell whether she was pissed or confused.

"Alexa-"

"You were quick to break off your engagement, weren't you?" She hauled herself up onto the cabinet, as if she was planning to stay for a while. For the first time ever, i hoped she wasn't.

"It was never really an engagement though was it?" Zayn said, slightly annoyed.

Alexa ignored Zayn's input. "Did you not think about this like, at all? Did you not think to talk this through with Scooter or at least with your publicist?"

Coming to think of it, I actually hadn't. My silence was enough to confirm this fact and Alexa rolled her eyes dramatically.

"Ariana!" She dragged my name out as she said it. "Are you being serious? You are going to be dragged by every single magazine on the planet!"

"Hardly." Zayn shrugged, obviously not deterred by her rejection of his previous input. "She's got me on her arm, let them talk about that."

"Well Zayn, remember what happened the last time you and Ariana got together so suddenly. The world wasn't so nice to you was it?" Alexa actually replied this time, but her eyes were still on me.

"Look, i was clearly never going to marry Jai." I said, taking the focus off of Zayn's concerns.

"Clearly? It wasn't that clear, Ariana. Seems to me you were being slightly immature."

Zayn shifted next to me and coughed.

Alexa looked at him out of the corner of her eye. "Were you playing a game Ariana? Because if you were, that was really damn irresponsible."

I sighed. "Not a game, no."

Alexa slammed her hand on the counter next to her. "I knew it! You never loved Jai did you?"

"Well, no-"

Alexa suddenly started laughing. "You bitch Ariana Grande! Oh my god that is terrible."

I watched as Zayn smirked before looking at me. "Actually it was really immature." Zayn said.

I elbowed him. "You've already told me off about that, you don't need to do it again."

Zayn shrugged. "If only she'd have been grown up about the situation, eh?"

"Hey can we just eat the pizza we ordered?" I noticed that Alexa had left it on the table. "I don't want it going cold."

"Bringing the focus off of you? That's new isn't it?" Zayn remarked.

"Oooh!" Alexa said, laughing even more. "Please don't start having a domestic."

Zayn picked up the pizza box and offered me the first slice, but Alexa jumped down from her spot and grabbed a slice.

"Sorry." Zayn said.

"About what? What you just said or the pizza."

"Both." He gave me a kiss on the cheek.

By the time I was about to get another slice of pizza, Alexa had taken two.

"You are genuinely a star, you know that?" Zayn said, shaking his head, bemused. "Oh well, looks like the rest will be for us, Ari."

I quickly grabbed a slice and ate it relatively quickly, wanting to make sure Zayn didn't eat it all.

Suddenly there was a rapping on my front door.

"I'll get it!" Alexa announced, running through the hall to the door.

"Thank god for that." Zayn said quietly, smirking. "Good pizza?" He took his first slice.

"Its okay. Still, a bit cold."

Zayn nodded. "Was expecting that, babe." He took a bit bite nevertheless. "Oh god, it is really cold isnt it?"

"We should sue them."

Zayn laughed. "Yeah as if we need any more money!"

"Ariana!" Alexa shouted from the hall.

"What??" But she didn't answer, she simply appeared in the kitchen followed by two police officers.

"Mr Malik." The cop showed his ID. "I am arresting you for suspicion of possession of marijuana. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law."

"You've got that wrong." Zayn said, exasperated, looking at me. But his reaction was everything to tell me that they in fact, had gotten it very, very right.

Liz's POV

Harry and I finally made up. It took a very long time, admittedly, but we made up and that's inevitably what matters.

"So, we are going to completely start over."

"Well, not completely." I replied. "I'm not tryna be rude, but I can't be assed to re-do the whole first date shit."

Harry laughed. "You had me you know? Even though i was so mad about Zayn, you always had me. I couldn"t have kept it up for too long."

I smiled. "Oh don"t flatter yourself harry, i definitley knew." But i didnt. I was so scared that i'd lost him.

Harry chuckled again, shaking his head. "You never fail to amaze me Elizabeth."

Oh damn, all the guilt came rushing back. He must have noticed because he leaned in for a quick kiss.

"Hey, we are good now. We were good before but now we're extra good." He pulled a stupid face, making me laugh.

I was interrupted by the cute moment because my phone rang.

"Who's that?" Harry was suddenly serious.

I checked. "Ariana."

"You should answer it." He said, with not much emotion. It was strange that he'd changed so fast but i didn't think anything of it.

As soon as i answered the phone, Harry left the room.

"Hello, you okay?"

Ariana sobbed down the phone. "They arrested Zayn!"

"They arrested Zayn??" I repeated, louder than she had. But there was no reply from Harry who was now upstairs. "What? Why?"

"Because he'd been caught with weed apparently." Alexa shouted from the back.

I didn't know what to say. "Shall I come over?" I loved Alexa but i was guessing that her company wasn't helping ariana.

"That would be good." Ariana hung up.

I noticed that harry had left his phone downstairs and that it had just flashed up with a message. I was never one to check messages but he left the room sonsuddenly and in the moment I was curious.

On the screen it said : new message from Jai.
