Ariana's POV
"Where were you?" That's what my mom said as soon as I walked into Frankie's apartment. Although she sounded angry, she sounded relieved.
"I was out." As soon as we'd finished at the museum, Zayn took me to a restaurant.
"With who? Where did you go? What did you do?"
"I'm not a little girl anymore.."
"Tell me!"
I grunted. "Fine, I was with Zayn Malik, we went to the museum and we looked at dinosaurs." I left out the fact we went to dinner, she wouldn't take well to the fact I was with someone other than my boyfriend.
"Have you spoken to Jai? I'm not sure if his flight has landed yet but.."
"Stop!" I shouted. "I don't care about what you have to say if its about Jai!" I sprinted into my room and slammed the door. I cried into my pillow.
"Ariana open the door." My mom was outside. Does she ever take a break?
"No." Was my answer.
"Sweetheart, what's wrong." I gave up. I opened the door and let her in, crying into her shoulder in the process. We sat on the edge of my bed.
"I-I'm..I'm just gonna admit it.."
"Admit what?" My mom was anxious and confused.
"I'm cheating on Jai."
My mom was absolutely gobsmacked.
"Ariana..I thought you and Jai.." She shook her head. "Is it Zayn?"
I nodded and looked at her. "Are you mad."
"Not mad, just surprised more than anything." I leant on her shoulder again. "I mean, if your happy then whatever. Wait, you are gonna break up with Jai right?"
"No."
"Ariana you have to!"
"No that's the whole point! It's supposed to be a secret!"
"Does Zayn know it's a secret?"
"Of course he does!"
"And he won't give any clues away?"
"Nope."
She sighed. "Do you love Jai?"
"Not really."
"Then I can't understand this! Didn't Zayn have a girlfriend?"
"Yeah, Perrie. They broke up."
"See! If he can get out of a relationship that was in the public eye then so can you!"
"I'm not breaking up with Jai!"
"So what is this? Your gonna carry on playing him?"
"Please mom, you've gotta have noticed he was... jumpy around everyone and everything. Jai's got secrets and even you know it. You don't even know Zayn! Just meet him."
My mom put her hands up as if to surrender. "Okay, I'll meet Zayn."
Zayn POV
My phone vibrated. Incoming call from Ariana. I answered right away.
"Hello, is everything okay?" I asked.
"Yeah, everything's fine. How about you?"
"Yep, all good here."
"Zayn I need to ask you something.."
"Go on." I asked curiously.
"It's nothing bad, I just want you to meet someone."
"Who is this someone?"
"My mom." I sighed with relief.
"Oh, of course I will meet your mom!" Do you want me to come to Frankie's or do you guys wanna meet me somewhere?"
"You come here."
"Okay Oreo, be there soon." She hung up. I grabbed my leather jacket and walked out of the hotel. I decided to stop by the florists and buy a dozen red roses for Ariana and some tulips for her mom, to make a good impression. I walked to the apartment block where Frankie lived and got into the elevator. He lived on the second from top floor. I got out of the elevator and saw number 678, 679, ah 680. I reached Frankie's apartment. I knocked on the door. Ariana opened it.
"Ciaoooo!" She hugged me and I hugged her back, I laughed. "Zayn, these are for me?"
"The roses are." I handed them to her.
"Aww, Zayn!" She looked up at me and leant in for a kiss. Our lips locked for about three seconds until her mom cleared her throat behind us.
"Oh, I'm sorry Ms Grande.."
"It's just Joan to you." She gave me a genuine smile. I sighed, relieved.
"Here, Joan. I got you some flowers too."
"Well, your a sweetheart lets say that." She laughed. "Thankyou Zayn. Let me go find a vase to put these in." She left the room.
"See, It wasn't all that bad." Ariana snaked her arms around my neck. "Can we finish that kiss now?" I chuckled and caught her lips with mine yet again. We stayed like that until we heard Joan's footsteps getting closer.
"Here, Ariana pass me your flowers too."
