My Lost Love

First Night

Derek's POV:

Tonight's our first night in my new apartment. I just came from work, my job is auto-repairing , it's a sucky job I know but my dad wouldn't stop insisting until I joined the family business otherwise if i didn't he would disown me. Not that I care or anything but I probably wouldn't get any other job any where. The good thing about this job is , I can afford lot's of things cars , expensive things , whatever I want really. Sorry did I tell you about myself?

Siblings: Little Sister Kylie (6)

To be honest there's really nothing to know about me, actually there is nothing. My dad doesn't talk to me but wants me in the business to make him money, plus i'm the only worker. I raise my sister Kylie , ever since she was little really. Our mom passed away from a brain tumor , after that dad didn't want to be in charge of Kylie and I so , I have custody over her and raise her as if she was my own and plus I'm the father figure to her.

" Derek i'm hungry , get pizza please? " Kylie begged

" Alright go get pajamas to change in , after I place the order i'm going to bathe you ok? " Kylie nodded and skipped to her room, then I ordered the pizza " Kylie are you done? "

" Yes " She smiled

" Great go to the bathroom and clog the drain , put warm water , and put some bubble soap in. Did you get that all for that tiny head of yours? " I chuckled

" Derek i'm not that tiny " Kylie groaned

" Ok if you say so , now run along " Kylie did as told while stomping her feet

It's kinda hard to take care of Kylie on my own , our dad doesn't visit , or call. Whenever he's at the job he takes the money and yells at me for nothing , mostly because he's drunk most of the times, he beats me like today , and then leaves just like that! I stay strong for my sister because I don't want her to see me getting all upset over the silliest things in life. Kylie always cheers me up though and i'm grateful she does because she reminds me of our mom , everything about her is Kylie.

" Derek can you take off the sunglasses please? " I shook my head

" Sorry but I can't right now , atleast infront of you " I put shampoo on Kylie's hair

Kylie removed my sunglasses " What happened Derek? " I looked at her slowly

" Dad came in and he was drunk that's all i'm going to tell you. I don't want you getting all upset " I rinsed her hair

" I love you Derek " Kylie hugged me

" I love you too Kylie " I smiled

" Am I done now? " Kylie groaned

" Wash your front and back then you're done. " I grabbed a towel

" Done " I rinsed kylie then picked her up out of the bath

" That's my girl , high five " She gave me a high five " Now here's your clothes " I handed them to her and helped her put them on.

" Can we watch a princess movie? " Kylie jumped up and down

" Sure let me shower first " Kylie nodded

Kylie's POV:

Derek is my older brother but he's more like a father figure to me since he is the one who is raising me. We get along greatly with each other and i'm happy because if our dad were to raise me , we wouldn't at all. I laid on the couch watching spongebob ,waiting for Derek as I heard knocking from the front door.

" Derek the pizza guy is here " I knocked on the bathroom door

Derek opened the door with a towel around his lower area" How much? "

" $9.65 " The guy said

" Thanks , go get a plate Kylie while I change. I'll be back in a bit to cut your pizza " He walked in his room.

I picked up my stool and brought it over to the counter , to grab my plate.

Derek came back and cut my pizza for me since I have tiny hands to hold it all. We both sat on the couch eating pizza , while watching a princess fairytale story on Netflix. After a long while I fell asleep on Derek's lap, he picked me up and carried me to my bed and tucked me in tightly.

" Night Kylie " He kissed my forehead then left
