Lydia being Lydia, blurted the first thing to mind "Are you stalking me?" looking at Tristin with wide eyes.
"No... I just got out of homeschooling so I am somewhat new I left in the middle of sophomore year and now I'm back in the middle of senior year. I didn't know any of this was going to happen." Tristin was regarding they're small history together since last night, but that makes sense since she came in the middle of the year when he was leaving so they never crossed paths.
Lydia doesn't know what keeps compelling her to believe every word out of his mouth, but she does. For some unknown reason she gets a boost of confidence when he's been around, at least so far.
"I just want to let you know I couldn't fall asleep because of you." She said smugly
"Yea well I wasn't the one to let a stranger stay at their house." She falters at the comeback, while Tristin wears a smirk.
"Did you want to be left in the cold?" She asks, now he falters.
"Well no, but- "he gets cut off by Lydia.
"No buts I did something good for you. Are you trying to tell me I shouldn't have? Would you rather me have called the cops?" Lydia is joking around but this sense of humor is new to Tristin and he no longer knows how to reply.
"Well you should have let me stay and not call the cops so you did everything right." At this point he's wining it he doesn't know how she will react in his mind she's a little fire cracker that sparks he hasn't seen her explode yet.
"Yet you complain?" She eggs on.
He gets flushed "Well-I wasn't-I'm not- "
"Relax I'm joking." She laughs, a real laugh. This is the first one she's had in a while, sure she laughs when her friends say something but it isn't real she just feels compels to laugh she's mastered the art of fake smiles and laughs over a lot of time. No one knows how real it is except Josh. By this time both Lydia and Tristin are laughing together and they've caught the eye of the whole class. The teacher doesn't do anything about it as long as they hand in their work on time she doesn't care.
While they are laughing Josh feels jealousy that he's not the cause of such a sweet laugh. At the same time, he questions why they are laughing Lydia isn't an easy person to open up to yet they are laughing and having a good time. It took months for her to open up to him and she's still closed off, yet she easily lets him in. Josh is going through a PMSing stage of when girls get emotional, josh is a very sensitive guy which is why he hangs out with girls.
"Mrs. Miller they aren't doing they're work, they're laughing." Harper the whore said. She tries to do everything better than Lydia and if that means being a tattle-tale just to get an up or boost of confidence she'll do it.
"Let them laugh." After Mrs. Miller said that Harper the whore slumped in her seat for once again being defeated by Lydia.
Durring the rest of class they work together to get the work done and occasionally making jokes relating breaking and entering. While Josh watches his partner trade him in for Tristin.
Its now lunch time and Lydia even with her being tired is having the best day shes had in a while, she ooks good which makes her feel good and she laughed a real laugh, so shes cheery. She plops down on the bench and exclaims "What is happening my lovely people."
Natalie looks at Josh "What happened to her since this morning?" She turns to Lydia and takes her hand into her own "Are you ok? Is there something you need to tell us, Its ok we can get you help."
Lydia rolls her eyes and says "It's nothing I just feel good."
"She's right its nothing but somebody." Natalie knows josh likes her even though Lydia is oblivious to it, so she hears the jealousy in his voice when Lyd is still completely oblivious.
