As Faust exited the door on the opposite side of which he came in, he found himself in a hallway that was dimly lit. The walls seemed metallic, and had a long strip of lights stretching as far as his eyes could see. However, there was another light prevailing the hallway. Faust looked up, and saw exactly what he was looking for. Directly above him was the same maze he saw in the humongous room.

Suddenly, a loud crash was sounded above him. Faust jumped, almost yelling in surprise. It sounded like a heavy boulder had fallen on the floor above him! He darted his head up, and gasped at what he saw above: the girl. She was laying flat on her stomach, looking down directly at him. Her platinum-blonde hair was stretched everywhere across the floor, and her expression was that of pure terror.

Once she had caught his attention, she slammed her palm down on the glass. "Help me!" she mouthed, banging again.

Without a second thought, Faust grabbed Tempo and twisted the bey onto its launcher. He steadily aimed, then pulled the rip cord as hard as he could. Tempo shot up at the speed of a bullet, hitting the glass colliding with the glass. At first it left a small crack. However, in mere seconds, the crack expanded into a web of lines in the glass.

The entire ceiling busted into small shards. The girl screamed as the floor beneath her busted, and she flew down. Faust dropped his launcher, running for the girl.

Within seconds, she landed safely in his arms. But not without Faust losing his balance. He slipped backwards, bringing the mysterious girl down with him. He immediately threw his coat sleeve over his jacket as if to protect her face from the falling glass, and he used his other arm to do the same to his face.

Once the glass was done raining down, Faust helped he girl sit up. After she slightly scooted from his lap, he sat up.

"There's glass everywhere." Faust muttered.

He realized that the female was not paying attention to him, but something that stood proudly in front of her. Faust moved his head to see none other than his Celestial Tempo. He held out his hand, and the bey swiftly flew up to meet his grasp.

Faust then stood up, walking over to his launcher and picking it up. The girl did nothing but stare at him.

"I wanted to thank you for getting me out of there," she suddenly spoke, rather quietly. "It was a nice thing for you to do, but I'm afraid that the doctor is most likely looking for me now."

"Yeah, well he's looking for me as well." Faust answered. "We'd better get out of here, and fast. Do you know the best way out?"

"I have no clue," she answered. "I've been stuck in that stupid maze without any idea of how to get out. It's like it never ends..." she stood, dusting off her skirt. She pulled the shards stuck in her skin, wincing.

"Are you okay?" Faust asked.

"Yeah, I only got cut a little. It's better than being trapped."

"Yeah..." Faust turned around, walking into the darker area of the hallway. The girl ran to follow him.

"I'm looking for someone here. We split up to try to find a way out, but now I'm thinking it wasn't a good idea." Faust kept a blank expression as he spoke.

"What's your name?" the girl asked.

"My name is Faust." he looked at her, his expression unmoving. However, he took in her features. Her hair was a straight, platinum blonde color. She wore a simple navy-blue skirt that stretched to her knees with leggings under them. Her shirt was a basic uniform top; something the doctor probably gave her.

"I am a product of the Arrangement Systems, and a clone of my counterpart, who I am trying to find."

The girl provided an odd look. "Really?"

Faust nodded.

They continued to walk down the dark hallway.

"That was some bey you had back there. What is it?"

"It's interesting...I guess. She works well. It's a Tempo, Celestial Tempo."

"I've never heard of one like that. How did you get it?!" The girl appeared marveled at his bey.

"That's a enough questions; don't you agree?" Faust looked away from her. He then looked forward, and noticed that the hallway was leading right; to a significantly brighter hallway.

"Come on, let's hurry." Faust began to walk in haste, turning right.

The hallway that they now entered was all white. Circular white lights provided plenty of sight every five feet. The hallway was long and narrow, but there appeared to be doors that opened into rooms.

An odd feeling began to grow; as if something terrible was going to happen. "I'm getting a bad omen about this place," the girl replied, frowning. "Yes, so am I. But it is the only way out of here without the risk of being caught. Either way we go will be dangerous."

"Alright, fine." the girl answered. "Let's take our chance. You have you bey, anyway."

Faust checked his holster, nodding. "Yep."

And with that, Faust stepped onto the pearly white surface.

Immediately an alarm sprang to life, piercing the ears of Faust and the girl.

"Run!" Faust yelled, turning around and running back down the hallway.

"Not so fast!" a low voice replied. Coming from the broken glass was a lanky man in a suit and lab coat that looked too big for him.

"Crap, it's him!" the girl screamed behind him. "Let's go, it's our only way out now!"

Faust stared at the doctor for a split second before taking off in the other direction. Together they ran down the hallway, but an odd gas began to blow from jets in the ceiling.

Seeing the girl became very hard, until the touch of her hand on his made him realized where she was: directly beside him.
Faust stifled a smile, something he'd never done before.

His eyes suddenly grew heavy. "Hey, are you doing okay....?" he drifted away. Before he could here her answer, though, he dropped to the ground.
