Sorry to keep this dragging out...
-No POV-
The doctor yelped as he fell backwards. Toby snatched the back of his head, but let go as the doctor slammed his launcher onto his back. Toby jumped from the man's grasp before he could do any damage.
The man clutched the back of his head, but smiled deviously.
"As you wish then!" The doctor brought the bey to his launcher.
"There's no way she'll listen to you!" Toby called, pointing to the doctor. He brought out the random Virgo-like bey he was given.. Faust pulled out his swan bey of the constellation Cygnus. Masamune and Zeo pulled out theirs, but seemed a bit more tense than usual. Julianne (3.0) pulled out her Star Columba. (I just made that fusion wheel up.)
In a wild manner, the doctor launched Celestial Tempo without much of a warning. Immediately a blue aura formed around the spinning top. Everybody ducked as the aura's bright energy threatened to envelope and swallow them whole, along with their beys.
"There's no way we'll be able to beat Celeste...she pulled your beys into a black hole and is probably willing to do it again, especially if she's under the control of the doctor."
It was different this time to Toby. Instead of feeling her power, he felt nothing but fear. Unlike the last time Toby used his hybrid bey, he actually felt comfortable with it now.
Celestial Tempo did nothing, but stood in the middle of the group. Suddenly her body could be seen. It was whiter than a ghost. All of abnormally long hair, excluding her front bangs, was was pulled back into a thick braid. She wore a circlet with a single purple diamond in the center of her forehead. She looked like Faust almost.
The beautiful girl opened her eyes. They were competent bloodshot and almost scary looking.
"Toby, what has gotten into you?" Masamune called out. "You've always been so optimistic about everything. Now you're not willing to put hope in anything!"
Toby frowned, closing his eyes. "You're right, Masamune...I guess I have."
Toby's Virgo glowed a bright burgundy. "But that changes right now."
The bey crashed into Celeste, but she didn't budge one bit. Instead, the aura only looked down at the puny bey and looked back up to her enemies.
"Let's go guys! All at once!" Zeo's spiral fox travelled towards Celeste. The other beys followed suit, each attacking the enemy bey at once.
Celeste didn't budge.
"It's not working!" Masamune's bey bounced back.
"You're wasting your time." The doctor merely snickered at his prisoners' attempts.
Toby looked around in attempts to find his counterpart. "Hey, guys, have you seen Faust?"
Zeo and Masamune scoped their surroundings. "No...and that girl named Julianne. She doesn't seem to be here, either.
The doctor's expression changed as he realized that his test subjects were missing. "Where have they gone?" He looked around, turning from the battle scene. All of a sudden, Faust came up behind the distracted doctor. He brought a needle from his right hand up to the doctor's pressure point, stabbing the pointy object into him. He injected a clear serum into him, watching as the doctor instantly fell to his feet.
Celeste continued to spin, but her eyes were no longer a bright red. She gasped, looking to Toby.
"Toby!" Toby turned to the bey, whose facial expression was unchanging as she spoke. "I am so sorry, I must have been hypnotized. I remember you, Toby, he only took me for his own. He wanted to make money off of me..."
"Come on, Celeste, let's bust out of here!"
Celeste's spirit nodded, the bey walking towards Toby. "Let's go, I can lift you guys from here to the ground. We have to hurry. Your parents are probably worried about you guys."
"Wait," Faust interrupted. "You're supposed to be my Tempo!" Celeste looked to Faust, her mouth opening slightly. Her eyes glowed at the sight of him.
"Faust...I...remember you too." She turned towards him. "We...were meant to meet here..." she touched her circlet, then brought her finger to his.
"Celeste, wait..." Toby interrupted. "Don't you remember all that we've gone through? Don't you remember your old self?"
"Yes, Toby, but this is the new me...you know what's best. We have to let go, the both of us..."
Toby's eyes filled with tears. "I know, Celeste. I just wish I wouldn't have to let go so fast."
"Don't worry, Toby, God is with you..."
Toby felt Celeste's cold spirit envelope him. "I will miss you, Toby." Tears streamed down his eyes. "I'd never thought I'd lose you that fast. I'm so sorry..."
"It's okay, Toby,"
The bey began to ease out of the door from which they entered. Nearby was a window that was closed with curtains. "Tempo, break that window and carry us down on your spirit. That's the only way, or we'll be caught by guards."
"Okay. I'll try my best!"
In one swift motion, Tempo darted towards the window. In seconds the top destroyed the glass and the curtains. Her spirit appeared. "Quickly!" In haste the group climbed onto the spirit's back.
"Faust," a feminine voice called out. Faust turned as he was just about to step onto the spirit. Julianne stood, her eyes looking glassy against the sun. Faust suddenly remembered her inhuman qualities. "I...I'm a little scared."
Faust walked over to the synthetic human, grabbing her arm. "Don't be scared. We'll be down soon. My Tempo will save us!"
"O-okay..."
Together they stepped onto what felt like absolutely nothing. The group was enveloped by Celeste's blue aura as they smoothly rode to the ground. When they touched the ground softly, Toby lifted his arms. "It's finally over!"
Julianne (3.0) stood, dumbfounded. She stared up at the sky, which glowed a clear hue of blue.
"This-this is was the world looks like...it's beautiful..."
For the first time, Faust grinned at the android. "This place is beautiful. You definitely haven't seen it all.
"Come on Toby, we have to call the police before the guards find us. Let's go guys! Follow me!" Zeo called.
Faust directed Julianne towards the rest of the group. "Julianne," he spoke. She looked to him as the group walked in haste to the nearest shop in the city. "What is it," she answered.
"I'll take you to see the world when this is all over."
In the corner of his eye, Faust saw Julianne grin. "Thank you, Faust."
Faust suddenly picked up Tempo as they walked.
"There's a coffee shop a couple of miles north that we can probably contact someone with. It may take a while to walk there, so we'll have to run instead."
"Alright then," Toby answered.
"Let's go guys! We have to hurry!"
Together, the group ran towards their only way back to home.
