CHAPTER FOUR
BOOK TWO.

Faust took a deep breath and turned toward the newly built building at which the odd man trapped me in. "That building...We have to know more about it. There's more than meets the eye, I can sense it. Let's go, keep your bey in hand to be prepared for surprise attacks." I nodded at Faust.

Upon approaching the building, I stopped and firmly stood. "Hey, let's split up here. We can find the doctor faster way."

Faust nodded, and we split up. I went to down the left hall. From the front door, one could never see the end of the hall, which I found uncomfortably peculiar...

My legs didn't want to hesitate any longer though; I had to get to the bottom of this. With no other ideas on where to go, I ran towards the never ending hall, hoping it would lead me to my goal. I ran on and on though a maze of dark rooms and hall ways, but found nothing. Impatience led to anger. It must have been the uncomfortable setting of the dark and dim rooms.

"Hello? Please, is someone here?"

~Faust's POV~

As I ran towards what seemed like an infinite hall way, I watched as the windows passed by quickly. It was a dreary day; therefore nothing too exciting was going on outside these private headquarters. I didn't have time to look before I clumsily tripped on a small elevation change in the floor. I immediately fell through a large spinning door, and pain shot up through my arm.

When opening my eyes, to my liking, I found myself in a large room that seemed rather bright compared to the rest of the building. My eyes scanned the room walls, but all that I seemed to notice was hologram computers and control panels in the form of holograms. My eyes then made their way to the ceiling. My pupils grew small at the glorious sight.

The ceiling was transparent glass...and I could see a maze on the second floor. The maze was huge, mad entirely of crystal clear glass, being lit by the dreary glowing clouds that shone through the glass ceiling on the top floor.

What really caught my eyes though...was another human.

"Is it Toby?" I asked aloud, pondering as I watched the human run cluelessly. But then I noticed that they were wearing a skirt. "That's clearly not Toby." I concluded.

A girl ran across the ceiling, but was gone in an instant. I couldn't tell what she looked like.

My eyes scanned the ceiling again, but I found no sign of the girl I just noticed running around. Was she just an illusion to fool me?

"Maybe that stupid creep is up to his again; trying to trap me and steal MY beyblade."

I kept on running, but, since the room was so big, I'd lost myself in a matter of minutes. Angrily, I stomped onto the ground. "Why can I no longer find myself?!"

Tears threatened my once strong willed eyes. Why was I all of a sudden stressing out? It was as if I's snapped in half. My emotional state was no longer in balance.

I was no longer being controlled.

-No POV-

Faust recalled the memories of the mysterious girl running above him on the glass floor above. He had no idea to what she was running from, for before he could look up again, he was taken from his position. The skylights above shone a distant bright light of the sun peaking through the clouds. The light faintly flowed onto the floor which Faust stood on.

"I have to find that girl." he murmured, gazing at Tempo. "I have to know where she was running to...it's the best thing I can do for now. Maybe she could help me."

Faust walked towards the opposite side of the room to find a set of spinning doors. Upon arriving at them, he proceeded to walk through them, but, much to his dismay, they would not budge. Faust concluded that they must have been locked; so he decided on one choice: to open them by force. Sliding his bey into the launcher, Faust watched as Tempo smoothly glided through the air upon being swiftly launched. Tempo's aura rose. There was Celeste, clad in glowing silver mail with a strong glisten in her blue hair. She pushed her hands and briskly hit the doors. The barrier instantly tumbled down upon her forceful request. Faust grabbed Tempo, before hastily walking through the set of doors.
