I woke up to find myself in the upper bunk. Elliot's bunk? The very first thing that processed in my mind was the smell of lemons. Lemons and men. I'm definitely in a wrong bus. Who's bus am I in then...? I opened the curtains and jumped out of the bunk, looking around for anyone who's probably the owner of this bus.
"Morning," I jumped when I heard Taka greet me from behind. "Feeling better?" I nodded my head. I felt much lighter, but physically, I was drained out and my eyes and brain is throbbing so hard. I guess these are the side effects of crying? "Look at you, sit here," he pointed to the sofa as he rubbed his own eyes. I looked around the bus while waiting for Taka. It's in such a mess... Shoes are all over the place, wrappers and empty bags of chips are lying all over the place. "Here," I turned around to find Taka placing two cups of green tea on the table before taking two tea bags. "Close your eyes," I cocked my head to the side. What was he going to do?
"I think I can do this my-"
"Just close your eyes," he demanded before placing the two chilled tea bags on my eyes. "Exactly how much things are you keeping to yourself? I swear you're the first person I've ever met that cried so much," I rolled my eyes under the teabag. I knew this was going to be embarrasing.
"I didn't know what got into me. I just... Let all my tears out. I don't even know why I cried in the first place," Taka removed the teabags and disposed them.
"All better," he winked at me before handing me a plate of sandwich. "Have some breakfast before you go," Just then, a sleepy Toru came in as he sat opposite me and grabbed his own breakfast. As soon as Taka was gone, Toru leaned in, putting down his own sandwich and stared at my face for a while.
"I know why he keeps talking about you," I cocked my head to the side in confusion. What was he saying? Toru dismissed it with a chuckle before speaking again. "You cried yourself to sleep and in the end Taka had to carry you back to our bus since he didn't want to wake you up and he had no idea where your guys were. Nothing happened by the way, Taka put you in his bunk and he slept in the empty one," What are they? Mind readers? They seem to be able to read my mind or something.
"Oh? Rokka Hime? I thought she left already," I turned around to see Ryota wearing a muscle tee. God knows what these two are saying.
"Well, she's here, right in front of you,"
"She shouldn't be staying long, right? I'm sure her band mates are going to worry about her,"
"Taka got it all settled," I cleared my throat. I'm stuck in the middle of this Japanese conversation which I have no idea about.
"Ryota thought you already left," so that was what they were talking about? I slowly nodded my head before looking through the windows and sipping on my green tea.
I glanced at my get up before draping my hands over Em's shoulders. I was wearing the same clothes from yesterday but exchanged my tee for a black muscle tee with a peace sign on it. Just then, I heard a knock on the door before it opened.
"Ohaiyo, Rokka Hime," Taka spoke as he flashed a smile. So, I'm guessing Rokka Hime is my nickname? What does that even mean? I tied a bandana onto my belt hoop. "You're going next?" I shooked my head.
"We're going after Against the Current," Taka slowly nodded his head and looked away. "You want to grab a drink with y/n or something?" My eyes widened at Em's words. What the hell? Glancing back at Taka, he was all smiles now as he scratched the back of his neck and nodded excitedly. Is Em plotting something with Taka? "You can borrow her for I guess about an hour? There's a few other bands performing before we hit the stage,"
"Sure-"
"Nah, I want to talk to y/n for a while and she needs to practice before going on stage. You should go ahead yourself or something," Elliot cut in and held my hands. There was a moment of silence as the two guys had an intense staring session before Taka shrugged his shoulders and left.
"Then I'll talk to you later-"
"We're taking her the whole day," I turned around to stare at Elliot. What? He's such a liar. Em was staring at him as if he went crazy.
"What's gotten into you Elliot? You suddenly became this overprotective friend of y/n. If people didn't know, they probably would have guessed that you two are dating with those hands," Right. Elliot's holding my hands now. I abruptly pulled my hands away and cleared my throat.
"I don't want him to spend so much time with y/n," Elliot placed his hands over my shoulders. "After all, she should spend more time with us," I shrugged his hands off. What's with that sudden skinship?
"I literally spend my life around you guys. Let me have some more friends,"
"She's right, Elliot. Go ahead and talk to Taka, y/n," Em said as she pushed me out of the room. "Just don't end up crying your eyes out again and come back in time," I rolled my eyes heavenwards at Em's words. They sure love to tease me, huh?
"Taka!" I called out in the middle of the corridor when I caught sight of him. "Sorry about just now, Elliot's been acting wierd lately," Taka laughed it away as he messed up my hair before putting his hands in his pockets.
"It's okay. So, do you want to... grab a coffee or something?" I nodded my head as we headed for the nearby coffee place.
"Here you go," I turned my attention back to Taka who was smiling proudly at the cup of latte in front of him. "It's cute, isn't it?" He pushed the latte towards me as I turned the cup around to take a look at the image. It was a cute cartoon of a bear with a heart at the side.
"It's so cute! How did you do this?" I asked, taking a photo of it and posting it up on Instagram. Taka shrugged as he sipped onto his own latte. "I don't think I can bear to drink this,"
"I can make it for you anytime,"
"That's going to trouble you,"
"Nah, as long as it's for my rokka hime," I raised an eyebrow once those words shot out from his mouth. If rokka hime was my nickname, then 'my'? "Guess what rokka hime means if you're so curious about it," I sipped onto the latte. Rokka Hime. I'm guessing rokka means rocker, but I'm clueless on hime. What does hime mean? Girl?
"It means Rocker Princess, bird brain," Seriously? I may be a dropout, but I'm still clever enough.
"I'm not a bird brain, baka," I shot out, only to recieve a small gasp from Taka.
"You knew Japanese?" I shooked my head. I didn't exactly know how to speak or write Japanese. I only knew some really basic Japanese, but that amount of Japanese wouldn't get me pass a day in Japan. Just then, I felt my phone vibrate as I pulled it out. Rainer's calling.
"Y/n! Get your ass here, show's gonna start in about 15 minutes," She shouted out, abruptly ending the call before I could give her any response.
"Your band's calling you?" I nodded my head. "I'll send you back then," he said before bringing me to backstage.
