Arthur’s POV

“I understand this is important but why now?” I asked Merlin while pacing in my chamber.

“Arthur now that we are both king this is the perfect time to bring them back. Dragon’s are important as there my kin and if the great dragon isn’t the last one then I have to go and set them free from their prison. They have been within it far too long. It’s time they are set free,” Merlin explained.

“I’m not going to unconvinced you am I?”

“No but you can come with me if you want we can always get Gaius to look after Light and he’ll be in charge while we are away,” he said to me.

“I’m not going to let you go alone,” I said.

“He won’t be alone.” I turned around to find Helen at my chamber door.

“Someone needs to stay here to protect Camelot,” said Helen.

“I don’t want to stay behind,” I said.

“Arthur this kingdom needs you and Merlin will be fine I’ll be going with him,” smiled Helen.

“Maybe Helen is right,” said Merlin.

“I don’t know even with just you two going,” I began.

“Arthur everything will be fine. I’ll be going too,” smiled Percival. I looked at him who stood behind Helen now.

“Ok but you better get there set the dragons free and come back or I’m going after you somehow,” I said.

“We’ll be fine though,” smiled Helen.

Merlin’s POV

Helen and Percival climbed onto the great dragon while I stood next to Arthur who had his crown on and Light standing next to him with his arm around him. “Come home as soon as possible. Light and I can’t live without you,” said Arthur.

“You’ll both be fine,” I said as I kissed Light on the forehead and took Arthur’s hand to comfort him.

“I know but return soon,” said Arthur as he kissed me on the lips.

“Better get going,” I grinned as I looked at Arthur and Light one last time before I climbed onto the great dragon. Gaius stood nearby as well as the knights and the council. I guess that’s what they do when one of the kings is leaving Camelot for a quest that is important.

Arthur removed the bane of magic now. In the following weeks treaties will be built and people with magic will be able to live freely once more. My destiny had finally come to the point I had been waiting for but I just have an extra part, Arthur and Light as well as king but that doesn’t matter to me as much as Arthur and Light does.

The great dragon flew into the sky and I waved along with Helen and Percival to them until we were too far away from the castle for them to see us any longer. “Merlin you alright?” Helen asked.

I looked at my sister and nodded, “Of course I am. We’ll be back sooner then we or they will know it. We should reach the location within a day,” I said.

“We should do,” smiled Helen.

Arthur’s POV

“I’ve decided already. He’ll come to us in three days,” said Arthur.

“Sire don’t you think they should come as soon as possible we shouldn’t delay,” said Gaius to me.

“I understand that Gaius but I want Merlin here too. He is king as much as I am and I want him here when we begin the treaties or they will not count Merlin as a king or may not listen to him in the future. Imagine if I become ill or something he’ll gave to rule and they may take that as advantage and attack or not listen to him,” said Arthur.
