Ace followed Jody in his machine. Jody was in her sleek white machine called the White Cat. To get to Mute City, they would have to take a warp-bridge. Warp bridges are bridges that connect to other planets and can transport anything five-thousand light years away, Ace and Jody however, needed to get to Mute City. When they exited the bridge, they arrived in Mute City. Mute City was bright and lively as always. There were different lanes in the city, a passing lane and driving lane. The passing lane allowed speeds up to 500 kilometers an hour. The driving lane however, only allowed speeds up to 60 kilometers an hour. Jody had Ace in the driving lane, so she could lead him to the Federation HQ. The two machines parked themselves in the Fed Garage. Ace decided to park the Green Amazone next to Jody's machine. "HEY! YOU CAN'T PARK THERE! THAT'S MY SPOT!"
Ace stepped out of his cockpit to see a goofy man racing towards him. "Ace," Jody spoke up. It was a good thing that she did, the man looked like he would eat Ace alive. "This is John Tanaka, he's the mechanic here at the federation." "JODY!" the man now turned toward Jody. "Are you alright? Did you encounter Octoman again?" "No, and I'm fine John," Jody reassured Tanaka. John Tanaka now turned to Ace, smiled, and shook his hand. "I'm Sorry, My name is Tanaka, John Tanaka, I'm the mechanic here, I work with Jody." "I know, Jody just told me," Ace replied. This guy sure was weird.
"Ace follow me," Jody motioned for him to follow her. Jody led Ace Winters to an elevator. "That guy is a weirdie," He told Jody. "More than you know," Jody sighed. There was a "ding" as the elevator reached it's destination. Both Jody and Ace exited the elevator onto the main floor of the building. "This is the central desk," Jody explained. She gestured to a woman sitting behind a desk. "This is Jeanna, she's our receptionist. She will take your calls for you." Jeanna just gave Ace a warm smile, she was busy on the phone.
"There's one more thing I need to show you," Jody spoke up as she led Ace away from the desk. "Here is-" Jody's sentence was interrupted when someone rushed past her and accidentally ran into Ace. Ace fell to the ground, he was a little dazed. "Ooh, I'm so sorry!" The person said. "I didn't mean to-" Ace looked up and gaped at the pretty girl in front of him. The girl also stopped talking as her eyes locked with Aces. "You should be more careful Lily," Jody told the girl. "Ace, this is a rookie too. Her name is Lily Flyer." Ace was now standing, but he was able to snap out of his trance and extend a hand.
"HI! I'm Jeff, Jeff Winters, but you can call me Ace. I'm Ace." Lily smirked a bit at the other rookie's odd behavior. "Nice to meet you," she smiled. "Sorry for running into you, I'm just late for work." "Oh It's fine!" Ace reassured. "By all means, I hope you do it again!" Lily and Jody both made an odd face, but Ace, oblivious, still smiled. "OK," Lily said. "Bye!" She then took off, Ace next turned to Jody. "How old is she?" he asked her. "Lily is the youngest rookie we have," the woman replied. "She is fourteen." "What unit is she in?" Ace next asked.
"Lily doesn't directly work here," Jody explained. "She works at the G.S.F. The Galactic Space Forces. They're sort of like an army that supports us." "Oh," Ace said. He was hoping to see more of Lily actually. "So when do I meet Captain Falcon?" Jody smiled. "How about tonight?" she answered him. "I've already registered you in the Port Town: Snake Road Grand Prix."
