After the awful race at Port Town, the federation officers were in the garage. John Tanaka was getting to work on repairing the machines, he was currently working on the Green Amazone. Ace was fuming, he was trying to keep himself from going nuts. "It's terrible what happened to Ace's machine," John Tanaka said. "That bully also wrecked the Wonder Wasp!" Ace finally stopped pacing back and forth and faced Jody. "Who was that Terd-Brain?!" Ace exclaimed. "Calm down Ace," Jody replied calmly. Next, she pulled up a holographic image. The image was generated using two devices on her fingertips. "His name is Michael Chain," She said. "He's been on the federation's radar for a while. He's the leader of a street gang known as the Bloody Chain in Angelopolis on Mandrill 4."

"Why did he attack me?" Ace wondered out loud. It didn't make any sense. Jody just shrugged: "He must've known you were the newest recruit to the federation. He probably attacked you to scare us." "AND ME!" John Tanaka Jumped into the conversation. "I'VE GOT BOO-BOOS TOO YA KNOW!" "Well, let me take him!" Ace exclaimed slamming his left fist into his right. The young racer just wanted payback for what the Gangster did. "If it's a fight he wants, it's a fight he'll get! I can whip that punk in a race any day!" "We're not going to do anything just yet," Jody spoke putting her hand calmly on his shoulder. "If you fight him now, you'd just be giving him what he wants." Ace slowly lowered his fists, he knew Jody was right. He wasn't ready to race Michael Chain, but he still was going to. "So what do we do?" He asked her.

"We find a way to arrest Chain, WITH your help," she said. "Why can't we arrest him now? We don't need evidence!" Ace said. "We may have evidence, but the federation has limits," Jody said. "The Bloody Chain always wants a fight. If we try to arrest them, they'll insist on fighting us. We can't risk so many lives paying the price. Let me take you to your new room." Jody motioned for Ace to follow her to the elevator on the other side of the garage. They rode the elevator to the 32nd floor of the building, to Room 5B. When they entered the room, Ace's mouth dropped open. The room was complete with a huge king-sized bed, TV and bathroom. "This place is awesome!" Ace said in awe. Jody just smiled as Ace ran towards the window. The window had a beautiful view of Mute City at night with all the lights.

"I'll see you tomorrow at 7am. That's when your training starts, good night," Jody said before shutting the door. Ace just stared at his surroundings still in shock. If only my parents could see me now, he thought happily.

Jody Summer drove the White Cat out that night. It was after she showed Ace his apartment. She headed to a secluded spot in Mute City. There she would greet someone. Moments later, the machine belonging to the individual arrived. It was Captain Falcon. "Hello Jody," Falcon said steeping out of his machine. "Hi Douglas," Jody replied smiling. No one really knew Captain Falcons full/real name. It was Douglas Jay Falcon. Jody knew this, but she was one of the few people who did. She only called him that when no one else was around. "I know this seems odd," Jody spoke. "I wanted to talk about Ace, the new rookie." Captain Falcon nodded: "Yeah, I saw him take a beating from Michael Chain. That's a tough break, He doesn't know how many times I've tried to capture him.""Ace may be a rookie now," Jody went on. "But I see a lot of potential in him. Potential I haven't seen since......"

Her voice trailed off, But Falcon got the gist. "We need to train him," She said. "Show him the ropes, he may be an inexperienced racer now. But he has potential to be a hero." "Alright, But I can't be there 24/7," Captain Falcon pointed out. "I know," Jody said. "Just trust me, and keep this a secret, ok?" Falcon just smiled: "Is that the only thing I have to keep a secret?" Jody gavea smile out of the corner of her lips. Then he leaned forward and gently kissed him. "Good night Douglas," Jody smiled. With that Captain Falcon took off in the Blue Falcon, leaving Jody Summer behind with her thoughts.
