Since it was late the night before, and the both of them were tired, and Padmé was hurting, the decided to get some sleep and rest up before taking off to a completely different galaxy.
It had been weeks, and Padmé had almost fully recovered. She had had of work for those past couple of weeks now, and it had actually been really great. Old Padmé would never just simply take a load off, much of the reason being because she was lonely. But now, Padmé had someone to spend time with, and now had things to do more important than work.
Way more important, especially now that she only had a little bit of time left of time left on the planet before leaving forever to a better life.
The twins had spent some time at the house before leaving Anakin and Padmé by themselves to do whatever they wanted whenever they wanted, and it would only stay that way for a little while longer until they wouldn't have any more time alone together.
One morning, when Padmé woke up, she felt Anakin's warm skin against hers, and he was lying right beside her, his hand behind his head. He was asleep, his face peaceful. Padmé smiled, burying her face in the crook of his muscular arm. She saw the edge of his lips turn up into a small smile, and he shifted lower, putting his arms around her small waist. "I love you," he whispered into her ear, meeting her lips with a soft, warm, gentle kiss. "Beautiful Angel."
Padmé smiled as he kissed her again, but his comlink attached to his black glove started to go off, and Anakin groaned.
"Master Skywalker?" Padmé heard Ahsoka's voice coming from the comlink.
"What, Snips?" Anakin mumbled back groggily.
"Well, I just wanted to see if you could.... talk."
"Listen I can't. I'm.... busy."
"Busy with what? I'm sure it can wait."
"Uh...." Anakin glanced at Padmé. "Just.... what is it?"
Ahsoka sighed. "Fine. Luke.... well Luke's throwing a fit."
"About what?" Anakin asked, sitting up. "Ugh," he groaned, rolling his eyes.
"First, he was talking back to me.... then he started being sassy --" she laughed "-- what a surprise, he takes after you with that," she said, laughing some more.
Anakin's eyes widened, and he covered the speaker on the comlink while Ahsoka continued to babble. Padmé laughed as his cheeks turned adorably a shade of bright red.
"You are kind of sassy," Padmé remarked with a small laugh, leaving Anakin to roll his eyes.
"Oh, so that's what you're 'busy' with! You're with Padmé!" Ahsoka exclaimed. "Nice try, Skyguy. You can't hide it from me!" Quickly, Ahsoka switched tones, from angry to sweet, in a flash. "Oh, and, hi, Padmé!" Her tone switched back, to serious. "Anyway, back to business -- just hurry it up, Anakin. I didn't ask to be the mom for your children!"
Anakin sighed. "Alright, Snips. Just once Padmé recovers --"
"She is recovered," Ahsoka retorted, "right, Padmé?"
"Correct."
"Thank you. Now, excuse me while I go clean up this mess Leia made on the counter...."
Ahsoka's line on the comlink was dismissed, and after that, it was quiet.
"You should've just gotten a nanny to take care of the twins," Padmé told Anakin.
He gaped. "A droid to take care of two precious human children? I don't think so."
He scooted to the edge of the bed, stretching. "Alright, let's go." Anakin met eyes with Padmé, a playful look in his eyes. "Let the chaos begin."
