I stared at my mom as she sat across from me.

"Don't you want to get married?" She asked out of curiosity. I shrugged and shook my head.

"I don't want too." I muttered as I looked at my hands. I think being committed to someone is important but what's the point of marriage. What if it doesn't work out anyways and you end up getting a divorce. Good money wasted on nothing.. A broken love.

"So I'll never have a daughter in law?"

"I'll find someone to love I just don't want to get married, it's hard to say now mom. I'm still young, but I have my mind made." My mom sighed as I rubbed the back of my neck.

"Brian, can't you just.. Think about it again?" My mom requested as I nodded.. Although I really won't, I don't want that.

Months later

I accidentally bumped into a girl at the mall.

"I am so sorry!" I held my hands on her shoulders as she almost fell to the floor.

"No it's fine, we weren't paying attention to where we were going!" Her voice took me by surprise. Her voice put me into a trance and once I finally got a look at her face, I swear I fell for her. Love at first sight. She had the most gorgeous e/c eyes ever, her h/c was soft and her smile made me swoon over her even more. "Are you okay?" I grew embarrassed and nodded.

"Uh, yeah.. I .. Uh.. Sorry once again... But... I-" She chuckled and I felt my face heat up. Her laugh was adorable and I found it stupid how I was already thinking of taking her on a date.

"I got to get going, it was nice bumping into you!" She went around me and waved as she walked off.

"What's your name?" I called before I lost the chance.

"It's y/n!" She winked and was gone.

Weeks later

I need to find her again, I need to see her again, I need her in my life..  Forever. I asked everyone if they have seen y/n or even knew her. No luck anywhere, she's completely left her mark in my life and I wanted to make her mine. I sighed and decided to go in a pub for a few drinks. Found a place to sit and just stared into a dark abyss. Taking a few shots of my drink here and there but I couldn't get y/n out of my head.

"Hey hot stuff."

My eyes widened at the voice, it sounded familiar. I turned my head and saw the girl I was looking for.

"It's been a while hasn't it." She smiled as I smiled instantly as well. "I never caught your name."

"Brian." Was all I could chirp out. She giggled and we sat there talking for hours.

2 years later

"So Brian, would you ever settle down with someone now?" My mom asked once again as I smiled. God was I stupid for thinking that I'd never settle down. I pulled out a black velvet box in my jacket pocket and placed it on the table.

"I changed my mind mom, I want to marry this girl. She has me in the palm of her hands mom.. I'm head over heels for her. I don't want to let her out of my life ever and heck I love the girl.." My mom began to cry as I smiled at the ring.

"I'm so happy for you Brian!" She got up and hugged me. "I can't believe this is going to happen. She loves you just as much, I can see it Brian." That gave me more confidence and I knew I could pull this off.

A year later

"I do-"

"I do-"

"I now pronounce you husband and wife! You may now kiss your bride!"

With a quick motion I grabbed y/n's hand and brought her in for a kiss. Everyone cheering and whistling!

The after party was going well and I met up with my mom.

"See I knew I'd be able to see you get married, and to such a beautiful woman as well. You're lucky to have her and she's lucky to have you. You'll make great parents one day!" She kissed my cheek and walked off. I secretly thanked my mother in my head as she made it easier for me to propose to y/n in the first place.

Years later

"Oh come on, just dance with me for a bit!" Y/n smiled as she turned the music up louder. I stood up as she held out her hand. I placed mine on top of hers and placed my other hand on her waist. Her smile was so bright and her eyes glistened in the moonlight. We twirled around the deck as she laughed and I watched her closely. I took her one hand and spun her around in circles, I swung her and landed her in my other arm. She placed her hands on my chest and took deep breaths as she stared up at me. I leaned down and connected our lips together, if only y/n knew how much I really love her. I don't dance but here I am, spinning her round and round in circles. It ain't my style but I don't care, I'd do anything she wanted me too. The song stopped, y/n pulled away and curtsied. I chuckled and placed an arm above my stomach and bowed.

"Thank you for the dance my darling!" I thanked her as we both chuckled.

Months later

"Oh my god Brian! Brian!" I was woken up by y/n jumping on me, her legs on each side of my stomach and she stared down at me.

"Yes what is it?" I yawned as she had the biggest smile I've ever seen on her face. It must be really good news, cause she didn't smile like this ever.. Not even at our wedding.

"We're gonna have a baby!" She held up the pregnancy stick up and showed me, there I saw a stick with a positive pink on it. My face instantly glowed and I also had the biggest smile on my face.

"Holy fuck y/n! I can't believe this! I love you so much baby girl!" I embraced her and brought her down on the bed with me. "I get to start a family with you, the girl of my dreams." She hid her face in my chest as I brushed her hair softly.

"I love you Brian."

"I love you too y/n."
